a pain because of the under panels?

They do make the job a good hour+ to do right. It's like the clutch job on a 944 Turbo.

While most think "Oh RWD clutches are easy peasy...just the top 2-3 bolts take a little finesse"...the 944 Turbo is a 14 hour clutch job. That also assumes all the hardware is in good shape. In snow areas if you drove in salt...expect to replace some fasteners and add the time to work getting them undone.

Spoke with the dealer yesterday as he's giving me weekly updates on the arrival date of the car and alluded that he would speak to the tech and supplying my own oil probably wouldn't be an issue.

The problem is going to be their labor if it's the dealer. Try to find a third part JapTech shop that's recommended in your neighborhood...heck even a EuroTech shop can probably handle this for about $50/hr instead of 90+

What other cars do you have under your belt, if you don't mind me asking.

Nothing flashy. 06 GC SRT8 serves as my daily driver in the winter and i usually drive my 02 C32 Amg in the summertime but i'll mix them up depending on my moods. I tend to drive the SRT8 the least as i have a lead foot and go through gas with it quite easily. I'll probably end up selling it this summer because gas isn't getting any cheaper.

lol, good luck keeping off the right pedal with the GTR

When Jensen Button sold his Bugatti Veyron he replaced it with a GTR. So it must be a real driver's car.

I would love a one myself. Cheapest I've seen them over here is about £45k for a used one, or you could even get a used Ferrari 430 for around the same price.

Cool, congrats Castiel and have fun with it! What field of work are you in if you don't mind? Just curious (soon to be college grad here 😀 )

It's looking like i might not be getting the GT-R after all. Dealer has another buyer and they want me to sign a letter of intent to purchase the car except i won't. I'm not going to sign on the dotted line till i see it in person and drive it so it's looking like i'll be getting my deposit back and looking else where.

You probably shouldn't be buying an $80K pleasure vehicle if gas prices are a concern.
