Chump change for you, right?
I'm not happy about having to fill up every few days but i try and be smart with my money. The jeep was a spur of the moment because it was at a killer price but i don't regret it.

Same exact question i asked the sales manager. I think they have someone else who is willing to pay over MSRP so i'm being pushed out.
I watched this scenario unfold 2 years ago at a local Nissan dealership. A guy was willing to buy it, but the dealership said they had someone else who was willing to pay 10k over MSRP.
It's sad and absolute bullshit. Greed is rampant these days. This whole scenario has me questioning if i should even waste this much money on a Nissan.
if you think it's just a Nissan problem, you are utterly mistaken. What about limited edition Ferraris or Lamborghinis or Porsches that sell out before they're even announced? you think people are paying MSRP for those?

So after all this, no go?
err, what was the deposit for then?
Wonder if Nissan would like to know about this, I didn't think they allowed dealers to mark up over MSRP on the GT-R?

I just sent an email to Nissan USA.
I don't know if that's going to do anything but it's worth a shot
Perhaps this "other buyer" is an invention to try wring more cash out of people?
Castiel, if you don't mind me asking, how old are you?

Don't answer that.
It's looking like i might not be getting the GT-R after all. Dealer has another buyer and they want me to sign a letter of intent to purchase the car except i won't. I'm not going to sign on the dotted line till i see it in person and drive it so it's looking like i'll be getting my deposit back and looking else where.
The situation has been resolved guys and the car is once again mine. 🙂 I'm going to sign the papers tomorrow
what did you do?
Been in contact with a Nissan rep over at the NA GT-R forums throughout the day, gave him all the info about the dealership, what was going on, negotiated price, every detail we've gone over. About an hour ago i spoke with the dealership's owner who apologized and said there was a misunderstanding and the car is mine if i still want it. Not sure what the Nissan rep said or threatened to do but everything is back on schedule.
