The launch control thing was addressed.
launch control explained

What is kind of a gray area is what is considered "abuse" .... repeatedly launching the car will eventually break something regardless of what car you are driving. You tell me, at what point do you consider something abuse? When all this was going down in regards to the GTR and warranty issues, there were people that reportedly had 20-30 launches in a day ..... I would call that abuse.

IMO, if they wanted people to not use launch control then they shouldn't have included it in the first place. They did remove it later but it remains that the design they used was substandard for the car.

don't think you will need special tools. I think it takes the same filter as the standard VQ motors.

Even better. Would rather just put it on the lift and do it myself.

Someone had asked a few pages ago about my loan details.

60,000 at 0.9% for 48 months = 1273.10/mo

if you watched the vid, it isn't being used as designed. Jump to 3:00 in the vid and you will hear what the "launch control" was designed for

so let's take another scenario... you have an auto trans. You rev it to 4 grand in neutral and dump it into gear.... the car technically can do it, but you do it 15 times in a row and break the trans. Is this something that the warranty should cover?

Personally oil changes are on of the best bang for bucks to pay for today.

Local Nissan dealerships do it for $14.95, I am in and out of there and they will put in my own oil and filter.

They try to upsell, but if you are confident a simple no thank you solves that.

I don't believe GT-R oil changes will be that low. I think it was stated before they're 130 dollars.

Have you gotten an insurance quote? I'm curious how much it'll be.

I am sure if you shop around you can find a place to do it. It's over an hours worth of work.

My brother's 996 oil change was something like $250-300. Some ungodly amount of oil like 10+ quarts. He found a place that was a fraction of that cost and he just brought them the oil change supplies.

I'll inquire when i pickup the car if i can supply my own oil.

Nk 160 a month for full coverage
