You were hired as a reorganizational institutor, to bring about any and all necessary changes to right the company from failure.
it does not matter whats in your job decription of daily job duties... that goal is why you were hired.
And that means you will do anythign and everything to accomplish that goal. Manage, budget, HR, everything! and do it under your current pay grade and title.
sorry son... the days of "that isnt in my job description" is over... if the CEO wants you to sweep floors, make coffee, or whatever you'll do it at your current pay grade and title.
if the CEO wants you to manage 3 departments, budgets, and HR... you'll do it at your current pay grade and title. Job descriptions are a mere worthless formality.
You're not a unionized hourly worker... your a senior salary worker...that means you do everything it takes to get your job done, no matter what it is... and even if you're doing the work of 3 other people...there is no extra's or bonuses for it.
Besides remember the best workers always get most duties, but for the same amount of compensation...
Promotions and titles are based on experience and years of service loyalty...
Ok maybe they should give you a star of excellence award for you success... and a eraser wedged onto a paperclip trophy or something...
But not a promotion after 8 months...not even after 2 years. Maybe after 5.
the fasttrack to the top is a myth, it will never materialize.
