How far can B0 cores go anyway? I wasn't expecting 3.0GHz anyway...I'm not too greedy. Afterall, I DID pay for a 2.4GHz processor.

I have a B0 step 2.4B from newegg, got it about 1.5 months ago,it does 156fsb on 1.60v (BIOS) which is about 1.66 (actual)

I ordered from Frys in Sunnyvale on Monday, and had them ship to me, I praying that its a c1, but other fellow member who bought from that store recently got 4 C1 stepping models. fingers crossed! Now I'm wait to look at everyones results nad picking the mobo and memory based on that.

I got my BO 2.26 up to 2.8ghz, with a 2.4b you should be able to reach that also.

Well, it's up to 2.7GHz (150MHz bus) just fine. 155MHz bus gave me a illegal operation in Prime after about 2 minutes. VCore is at 1.625V (1.66 actual).

I guess I'll have to settle for somewhere in between 150 and 155

Well that seems to be about average then..maybe after the AS3 sets in you might get 156?

My B0 step Prime95'd for 93hrs straight, 157 I got 33hrs, 158 I got about 6 hrs

Good luck!

Seems like you are hitting the CPU limit then. That board overvolts quite a bit for a non Asus. Maybe go up one more notch on the Vcore?

What is the pack date of that CPU?

Damn you NFS4...you just threw a wrench into the whole thing....Now you got me considering my purcahse as I have little confidence in my luck....What do I do.....

I guess you can go sell that at ebay and get about what you paid for it and try again!!!

Wait :Q

Fry's main ad runs in Fridays paper. Bet there is another deal.

What I did 🙂
Went to Fry's and bought the Combo $159.99 deal.
Had a magnifying glass in my pocket and told the cashier that when
she brought me the chip I would be checking it to insure that is was
one of the newer sSpec processors. Handed her a sticky note with SL6RZ
written on it and said this is the number that must be on the OEM chip.
Fry's gives a 1 year warranty on all OEM chips they sell.

She smiled the whole time I checked using the magnifying glass at the register
to insure that it was a C1 = Week 04, 2003 Mayla
If it would have been something other than a C1, void the sale and have a
pleasant evening.

I will be testing it on Friday when I'm off work.

PS: Sold the Motherboard here on AT for $37,
which it a great deal on the board and gives me
another 2.4b for $140. Even better deal for me, since
that is what I wanted.

After correcting a STUPID mistake on my part😱, things are going smoothly.

OK, my 2.4B (B0 core) is running at 2.8GHz @ 1.575V (155MHz bus, DDR350). Can't complain too much 😛

OK, I got my Newegg package today and the sSpec code of my 2.4B is...........

AN SL6EF BABAY........YEAHHHHH!!!!!!

nice caboob!!! I am tempted by this frye's thing.....I may go test the waters on checking these things for c1 chips...if I can't do it I wont do it....

What do ppl know about week 46 c1 chips??? should I only go for 2003 chips???

Ordered from Newegg 2/25, received today. SL6EF Malay Pack date 01/21/03. Am I happy, you bet! Pull the trigger Duvie. Looks like the C1s are flooding into the channel. 😀

Happy Hunting
OTC

Its done....If it doesn't work I will sell it at ebay for little loss and buy another...Oh yes I will get what I want...Muhahaha!!!
