In a very unfortunate way, he's kinda amplified the circus that he hates so much by making such a spectacle of himself in his refusals to answer the media.

Look at what happened today. Suppose you were a reporter that decided not to attend his appearance because he never answers questions, but today it turned out that he actually said something non-repetitive! Everyone else is running that story. But you, that is. You didn't get that story. You weren't there.

It's like, every time he sits down at the dais, there's a tension in the air like "will THIS be the time that we get Marshawn to meanigfully respond?" God help you as a reporter if that ever actually happened and you weren't there to capture it. At the very least, whatever his chosen, repetitive non-answer of the day, it becomes a story unto itself. That one day he said "Yeah." That other day he said "Thanks for axing." Then he chose "I'm thankful." Those were the actual stories the media ran with.

I feel for the guy. I wish he didn't have to do it at all. It's just interesting how trying so hard not to be subject to the media's attention has garnered him so much attention in the media.

Agreed, Taxt.

I will add (though this may have already been mentioned -- I really don't care to peruse through the thread right now) that Lynch has really given the racist segment of society more ammo to stir the stereotypical drink that black athletes are blundering buffoons and are only good for "carrying the ball".

"Sho'lout to mah real Ahhfricans" was probably one of the most ignorant statements I've heard in years...little does he know, the average black American male has more in common with Mitt Romney than true Africans.

I was embarrassed to be a black man after hearing that ignoramus this week.

Super Bowl day! To help pass the time until kickoff, here's a SB trivia question - no googling the answer.

The career Super Bowl TD reception record is of course owned by the GOAT Jerry Rice with 8. Name the player who is tied for 5th place all-time and is neither WR, TE, or RB.

I'm gonna guess Mike Vrabel, I can remember the Pat's using him for several short TD passes.

ah yes, now the bandwagon thing. You've already forgotten pre-Brady Patriots, eh? :D

I'm not a Seattle fan. I like this team. I like football in general, and it's easy to enjoy the game throughout when one's team is the Redskins, who just turn the whole sport into a farce.

So, I don't sit in bubbles and start all my analysis with "The Patriots are the greatest team ever and will win because x--" Or insert any team there.

Now I'm hoping it's yet another Brady ass-whooping in the big game, just so we can have another butthurt super fan in here running away and pouting for several months when the "impossible" actually happens. recall: Denver 2 years running.

Pat's fan here, no, I won't guarantee a win and I can assure you my football knowledge is slightly above average at best, LOL and no, I won't disappear like a fart in the wind if my team loses. But let's talk strategy, if I'm BB I'm going to get Blount some screen passes and test those dinged-up Seattle safeties, LB's and Sherman. Blount's also a bitch to get tackled, let him and Gronk see how well they hold up, apparently Kam Chancellor was sustained a knee injury during Fridays practice, Seattle's saying he's OK but once again, BB would be foolish not to test his abilities. We can already make a reasonable guess as to Seattle's offensive game plan, BM and more BM. Time and again teams have limited him in the 1st half only to have him turn into a machine in the 2nd half as the opposing defense wears down (and tackling BM wears them out). I think it's important for the Pat's to get a lead early, Seattle's secondary is too good against the long pass to try and get chunk plays to get back into a game, ain't gonna happen against that D. It should be an interesting start (to say the least) as both teams will try and establish physical dominance early, some might label the Pat's as a "finesse" team because they like to pass so much but they have had to face some really solid defensive front's this season (Buffalo, Denver,Lions, Jets) so they are no stranger to a solid pass rush. Having Brian Stork back should be a BIG help along that O-line. Somewhat interesting in the Pat's skipping Saturday's walk-through since some have commented about the grass on the field being really loose, IDK if teams bring extra shoes with longer cleats or not, if they don't and the grass turns out to be a problem for the Pat's that would be a huge blunder by BB.

Most expensive SB ticket ever. Will probably be the most watched SB. I think the first SB that's a pick'em. Fingers crossed for a NE win.

Didn't know Sherman tore ligaments in his elbow. I can't see how he's going to be able to grab and tackle well. Hope they go right at him. Thomas has a dislocated shoulder and Chancellor injured his knee(I think just a bruise) on Friday.

Should be a great game.

Yea, I agree and as I mentioned earlier I can't see BB not putting in plays to force these guys to tackle Blount and Gronk, shit make Nate Solder an eligible again and toss him a screen, I doubt it would go for many yards but just tell him to fall on Thomas's shoulder LOL.

Patriots by 18

Against a Seattle team that has not lost by double digits in 3 1/2 seasons? Pretty bold prediction!

Any given Sunday and all that jazz but much more likely the Pats get blown out by 18. Seattle already did it in the Super Bowl to a pretty similar offense and the Pats have 2 double digit losses this year (blown out by Miami and KC). And that is my prediction: Seattle pulls away for a big win.

I'm thinking a Patriots win 24-10 , however if it's within 7 points going into the 4th quarter I think the Seahawks win because Russel Wilson is just so damn clutch at the end.

If there is one thing you must learn about the NFL, is it never count out touchdown Tom.

I am hoping for a big game, but I have a feeling it will be a large win by Pats, but two TDs will come in garbage time.

I'll double down on that. Pats O is sloppy but grinds out a couple TDs and pair of FG; but their D absolutely stifles Seattle all game scoring a defensive TD and limiting the 'Hawks to 2 or 3 FG but nothing else. Final: Pats 27-9.

I don't know why people think the Patriots are going to stomp the Seahawks and win by 14+ points. The Packers have a better offense and they put up 22 points, hell the Eagles have a better offense and they only scored 2 touchdowns against Seattle earlier in the season.

Not sure the Eagles actually have a better offence, but I agree with you in general.

Well, it's a neutral field and 3 out of 4 of the Seattle secondary are injured and Seattle has had problems with TE's and the short passing game. Plus, New England is not going to kick FGs at the one foot line.

I think it's going to be a close one.

Yea, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit I was concerned about our defense against the run, even the Colts were finding some holes before they got swamped and one-dimensional.
