Why can't it be Sunday already? I am certainly looking forward to laughing at someone (either Pats or Seachicken fans, lol).

How much money did the NFL make when that idiot asked Sherman if he'd trade the trophy for his underwear? :\

Let the narcissists who love the sound of their own voice talk all they want. Not sure why it has to be a requirement.

It's a requirement because it brings publicity. People like hearing banal crap like what Peyton Manning had for breakfast and Calvin Johnson's "feels" when he scores a touchdown. Plus, it forces players to field uncomfortable questions, like Tom Brady answering questions about deflategate instead of just walking away and not taking questions.

My point is that its not an unreasonable job requirement and its one that the Player's Association at least impliedly endorses since it's not something that their trying to actively negotiate away during union negotiations. Players benefit when the NFL rakes in more money too, so I'm sure the majority of players are OK with forcing everybody to field a couple of stupid questions from the media to drum up headlines.

I feel for Lynch since he obviously has anxiety issues about it, but he could be less of an ass about it. I'm more bewildered by the public's response, like the petition for the NFL to stop "bullying" Lynch. Since when is asking someone to do their damn job "bullying"? Lynch knowingly signed the contract to play for the NFL and follow their rules, answer media questions and rake in millions while doing so. I worked a summer in a 20 story apartment building for minimum wage and hurled giant leaky bags of disgusting garbage into a compactor. And I wouldn't just get fined if I didn't do it, I'd get FIRED. Where was Richard Sherman's skit about how the landlord's "greed" was forcing me to do shit I wasn't exactly thrilled to do?

They fined someone for shaking his hand. For the crotch grab (which they then sold pictures of ) and are now talking about fining him for wearing the wrong hat to media day. Kinda sounds like they're being a little dickish. And I'd say the same if they were hassling any other player.

I don't get why people get so invested in sports that they have to go around and say stupid things like "40-whiners", "seachickens" and such.

Grow the hell up.

You know you are talking about fans of a thing that is a game right. A game. By very nature it is not something serious. I think you should try taking the stick out your but, maybe a game you might enjoy.

What was I saying about maturity?

Grow the hell up.

They just want a reaction and, if by chance their team wins, justification to troll people.

The Unnamed poster from a couple years back was constantly trumpeting his football chops--and how everyone else was an idiot if they didn't agree--until his team got rolled out of the playoffs twice and embarrassed. Thankfully most were mature enough to not troll back and not rub it in. The SB loss was painful enough--hope he is OK and doing well as he took the loss hard. The Denver Broncos were and are a good team and fun to watch. No shame in losing--unless you insult everyone else on the way.

Looks like Houston was relocated a thousand miles to the north, Kubiak hires Wade as DC.

The Seahawks played such an amazing game against Greenbay that I cant just help but root for them. They haven't been historically strong and the Patriots really are a dynasty.

The trolling that Russell Wilson and Beast Mode perform on Monday on Profootball Mock is going to be legendary. I fully expect more heads to explode Aaron Rodger's style. For the pure comedy factor the past 3 years watching Wilson troll Rodgers, both Mannings, Brady, Brees, etc. has been a reliable source of entertainment. I don't have the football acumen of some to guarantee a victory but I will be severely let down if we miss out on this epic opportunity for Quarterbacks of Facebook trolling. Last year's post-Super Bowl trolling was fantastic. If you missed it I recommend a quick gander--well worth 10 minutes.

Not sure if troll or simply didn't watch the game.

Maybe not amazing as in skill wise but exciting to watch, not praising the skill of the team. I keep up with several teams throughout this season and I don't remember any game that put people through such an emotional roller coaster ( for both sides).

At some point, this has to become the media's fault. They know he doesn't want to be there and they know he is going to give silly answer. Why do they continue to hound the guy?

That's the reason. They don't want insight about the game. If so they could talk to last year's superbowl MVP, who didn't even get a podium at media day and was more than willing to talk.

In a very unfortunate way, he's kinda amplified the circus that he hates so much by making such a spectacle of himself in his refusals to answer the media.

Look at what happened today. Suppose you were a reporter that decided not to attend his appearance because he never answers questions, but today it turned out that he actually said something non-repetitive! Everyone else is running that story. But you, that is. You didn't get that story. You weren't there.

It's like, every time he sits down at the dais, there's a tension in the air like "will THIS be the time that we get Marshawn to meanigfully respond?" God help you as a reporter if that ever actually happened and you weren't there to capture it. At the very least, whatever his chosen, repetitive non-answer of the day, it becomes a story unto itself. That one day he said "Yeah." That other day he said "Thanks for axing." Then he chose "I'm thankful." Those were the actual stories the media ran with.

I feel for the guy. I wish he didn't have to do it at all. It's just interesting how trying so hard not to be subject to the media's attention has garnered him so much attention in the media.

Put money on Seattle at -2 and bet the under of 48.

Now to find some fun prop bets. Can't wait for the game! :awe:

As often as they get caught breaking the rules, makes you wonder how often they don't.

Based on how much under the microscope they're by everyone, I doubt very much as all of their other formations were deemed legal. And blame the refs on that one.
