if you follow the standards, it should work has well in opera, mozilla, nS6, and IE.

Do u even use CSS style sheets?

I have looked around and found NS4-compatible drop-down menus that don't even work on Opera. The script I use now is very small, but I suppose I could find one of those 60kb ones .. And it was compatible back to 3.0 with just CSS buttons on the left but they insisted on having adrop-down menu.

I tried everything I could think of 🙂 In the end, the only feasible way to do what i wanted was to use javascript.

Dreamweaver MX is king. The PHP-syntax recgonition, etc. is just awesome and "Sites" are also a very good thing to work with.

If some paltry include()s are bogging down your webserver, you could just have a script that creates a static page, which updates via cron or whatever.

Well I just work with Includes for the Navigation and the body-text. The links are then normally index.php?content=otherfile.php, so I know which body-text I have to load. Pretty easy.
