Upcoming/possible games using Mantle

Today we bring you an update to our March post with Mantle-supported games.

As you can see the list has grown, and we have some very cool games coming. The list is divided into 3 groups: games that are released, unreleased, and games that are not yet confirmed to support Mantle, however developers have signed for private AMD beta program.

Games in beta program may or may not support Mantle, but these games will be Gaming Evolved titles for sure. The third group includes GTA5, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, COD:AW and Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars. Mantle support for GTA5 could be a game-changer for AMD.

While the third group has still Mantle support pending, the second group is confirmed to support new API. Here you can find Star Citizen, Sims 4, Rise of the Tomb Rider, Mass Effect or Star Wars Battlefront.

Thanks to AMD partnership with EA/DICE and Oxide Games, Mantle may finally become a real competition for DirectX. DX12 is still long way ahead, while Mantle is already here.

Of course we will bring you new update as soon as new games will be added.

Kinda makes sense for Sims 4, Sims 3 is pretty bottlenecked by the CPU and its a game played by mainstream and casual gamers, so Mantle would be a boost for them.

GTA 5, well enough said.

Not sure how CoD would get a boost.

Dragon age inquisition is probably the biggest title with confirmed support, even though the previous dragon age was awful.

gta 5 seems unlikely, probly focussing on the ps4 and xbone versions, pc will be an afterthought.

Good to see.

Could be interesting when the API is released to the public. Maybe someone will give UE4 Mantle support.

4 titles are totally BS
Sims 4(Should be announced before Bf4 hardline and Dragon age because this game is releasing before that)
Dying light conformed Nvidia game work title which is state in Nvidia website
GTA V which also state in Nvidia website
COD AF big no and it wont happen ever not even in dreams.

That chart is totally BS and AMD did not announce any thing but they conformed that Since the launch of Mantle it will support 9 games only like DX11 did when it was launch.

Now that I have a Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X in my FX8350 rig I'm paying a lot more attention to Mantle.

Explain this post please. I'd like to know what you do.

Also, COD? Are they at least going to upgrade the engine this time?
Do u know Paxeast ,E3 and Nvidia official website?

GTA V and Dying light is on Nvidia official website and not on AMD site.AMD conformed that there will be 3 upcoming Mantle games and they did not mention these games and they would have announced at least sims 4 with those Mantle support title.

In short Rockstar,WB,Techland,CDR,UBI are nvidia paxpast ,e3 and nvidia sponserd partners.

coming to COD it always been Nvidia title.

Pretty sure that the one game I care about (Mirror's Edge) has NOT been confirmed as Mantle title.

This chart looks fishy :hmm:

Chart is 100% false because GTA V and Dying light are already conformed Nvidia title and it is listed on their site to tool.

For Dying Light check this. Nvidia is a WarnerBros partner, but this doesn't mean anything for Techland.
I don't want to comment on other titles, just want to clarify this.

I don't want to comment this chart. False or true I don't know and I don't care. I just want to clarify that a publisher and a studio can sign in to different partner programs, even if we talk about one game.
In case u dont know Richard Huddy said that Nvidia dont allow there game to coded or anything like that if developers allow Nvidia games to be coded for AMD than developers and AMD both will be sued big time specially developers because it is state in Nvidia contract.

Huddy can say anything. I don't know if it's true or not. But I was work with them several years ago. TWIMTBP is not a bad partner program, especially for the publishers, because they fund the marketing investments. My only problem was that they created unoptimized solutions for my problems. But AMD always found 30-60% speed-ups in those codes, so I'm was very happy with that.
I don't know what changed in the past three years. My work is mostly console focused now.

Desprado, you don't need to say the exact same thing 5 times. (In hard to understand typing from a 13 year old much less) We get that you have some strong hate for AMD that only sleepless nights and pointless exaggeration can satisfy. Geez.

OTOH, I seriously could see GTAV using mantle. GTA4 had CPU issues and r* is lazy enough to rely on an API to do the optimization for them. Put me down as doubtful but not surprised if it happens.

Warning issued for personal attack.

I'd prefer to play the Rise of the Tomb Raider Rider game.

In all serious though, I'm going to boycott Unreal Engine 4 games if they continue to not support Mantle due to NV's influence. Give gamers a choice, Epic.

unreal is liberally open source, so in theory AMD devs could write a mantle backend. For epic this is a few pigs with one bird!

So, maybe we should take into consideration the fact that they listed the wrong developer for CoDAW when thinking about credibility? Unless the unannounced Wii U version has Mantle somehow that is! 😀
