Correlation is not same as causation.
Smart people are more likely to be both richer and Democrats.
That's why Silicon Valley is solid blue. We got two Democrats running for the House in my district.

Because of state issues and complete and utter stupidity of "smart" people I plan to vote Republican. Oh I greatly despise them, but the " Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer" people such as Sportage has convinced me that the last thing we need is one party control. Normally I wouldn't participate in the farce which is the so-called freedom of our "democracy", but there are local and state issues which will reluctantly convince me to show up. Don't worry because my vote is utterly meaning in a "winner take all" system, the antithesis of true representation, so you may rest easy.

Blue states are OK on Big Government, and spending money they don't have. Passing the debt on to the kids.

Red states, are not much better.

I'll vote the lessor of two evils. I'll vote Republican.

Anti-intellectualism doesn't usually yield to good results. Neither does gridlock, unless you are happy with the status quo.

Only 5 or 7 days left to let the Government know your thoughts, by voting.

This is Democracy, the voting part, the rest is the Iron Heel of Government.

Vote for less Government. Vote for less of the Jack Boot of Government.

Enable yourself by keeping more of your money.

Vote Republican.

Newsflash: Republicans are the jackboot of big government. They're never going to lower my taxes enough to make up for the cost of their social conservative agenda.

It's not Republicans running around and asking for Socialized Medicine. It's not Republicans running around and taxing companies until they have to go over-seas.

It's not Republicans making our borders unsafe so they get more votes from illegal immigrants.

It's not Republicans that increased our debt so severely, that we will never be able to pay it off.

Newsflash.

You are fucked.

-John

These are local elections, and you are voting for people that represent your general principles (a Republic) and never has it been more important than now to vote for people that will ask for less Government, less taxes, and less spending.

You're hilarious.

How much does it cost government when it ends up paying for the uninsured because you can't get blood out of a turnip?
Who brokered those deals to take companies overseas?
How much is it going to cost us to keep our borders "safe?"
And yeah buddy, it was exactly the Republicans who increased our debt. How else do you think they managed to lower our taxes without ever cutting spending?

Newsflash: your stupidity is what's fucking us.

If it was up to you, everyone would sit around and get fat.

But that is not life, Vic.

Everyone can't sit around and get fat. Inequalities exist. Some people actually work. Some people actually have ambition. Some people are actually productive.

And they should not be pulled down into your state of the lowest common denominator.

And now, lacking any argument, you accuse me of being the exact opposite of everything I've posted here in 36k+ posts over some 14 years. Cool beans.

There's nothing quite like a protectionist accusing others of being lazy or unproductive. Some unskilled immigrant take your job?

As far as I know the races are still very tight.

If you are republican, vote.

If you are Democrat. smoke another doobie. 🙂

-John

You seem to be blinded by my conservatism, or by hate.

Carry on, Vic.

I doubt I'll respond again tonight.

Keep the faith, brother. Don't let pesky things like facts and logic cloud your judgment.

Or was it split up to have two congressional districts (25th & 35th) which would represent approximately 700,000 residents?
