So please tell me...is it safe to assume that you represent the intellectual elite among us?
Tea Party: after 20 kids are shot, after every mass shooting, "Obama better not do anything! He better not change gun laws!"
Tea Party: after 1 person infected with Ebola flies here from Europe, "Obama better cancel all flights from Africa!"

I think he has a point.

And that's where you have the intellectual elite (ever notice how the right bitches about college professors being too liberal, that's what happens when you're smarter than everyone else).

You ever hear the phrase "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach"?

And what point is that? Thinking that the Tea Party is stupid makes him and his ilk somehow intellectually elite? He's all bigoted hack...and about as ignorant as they come imo.

All I know is, the people will have to live with whomever they chose.
So when it comes to dueling TV ad's, and we do have a few if anyone has notice,
when it comes to the ad's I very much suggest people ignore all the ad's and do a little homework on their own.

Find out exactly how the candidate has voted and believed in the past when it comes to the issues. Find out exactly what that candidate had actually said and done in the past, not this twisting of fact the extreme far right candidates are now trying to pull off with every TV ad trying to appear mainstream.

For instance, take Joni Ernst and Iowa.
She has been around for some time in the Iowa state congress.
She is nothing new.

She has said many times that she believes in privatizing of social security.
We have it on tape.
But now, going by her current TV ad's that she is running, you'd think Joni was all pro the status quo, and all for protecting social security as it stands.
Not so fast Joni. We have the tape.

And Joni says she believes that same sex marriage should be up to the people and the states.
But again, we have the facts as well as the video.
While in the Iowa congress, Joni herself co-sponcered a state ban and supported a full constitutional amendment ban.
So much for the leaving it up to the people.

And she has said she wants to abolish the department of education, the EPA, and turn medicare into a voucher system.
But in her TV ad's now running, and when called out on her past, she claims it all lies.

What voters fail to put together is her proven stance on social security.
Every time she is asked, she now says she wants to "protect" social security for seniors.
For seniors?
What about those non seniors?
What Joni won't admit is that for everyone else, she supports privatizing.
People must realize exactly what privatizing means.

That means that basic 401K plan.
While ones social security fund will last until death, that 401K fund will not.
This is simple basic math.
Retiring on ones privatized 401k, unlike with social security retirement, that 401K money would soon become exhausted.
And toss in another unforeseen stock market hit, or all the fees a bank would charge for 401K management, and you are easily broke much sooner.
People in their 80's, 90's would suddenly be faced with their privatized 401K running out of money. And at the age of 90, it is pretty hard to get back into the job market.

But Joni never talks about any of that in her ad's, instead only for protecting social security for current "seniors".
And everyone knows, if social security were indeed to be privatized, and you can bet your ass Joni will vote to do exactly that if given the chance in the US senate, privatizing social security would pull the rug out from under current seniors receiving their checks.

If there are no longer funds coming in, how can we have funds going out for current retirees?
So under her plan, everyone gets screwed.
Currant retirees have their checks cut in half for lack of funding coming in, and the younger worker has to hope and pray that their privatized 401K plan doesn't run out when they turn 85.

My suggestion, do not believe any of the TV ad's coming from the candidates.
Just do a little homework on your own to see exactly how that candidate has acted, have said, and have done in the past when it comes hot topic issues.

If Joni co-sponcered a stats same sex marriage ban while in the congress, you know exactly how Joni would vote when the US senate pushes a full constitutional amendment.
Up to the states? Yeah right, Joni.

And stuff like the EPA, clean air and water, privatizing social security?
Forget about her attempt at appearing mainstream.

IIRC, the Koch Bros have spent over $3 million in ads for Joni...

They don't have to report spending until next year, so you have to look at the last election, not this one:
https://www.opensecrets.org/outsidespending/summ.php?cycle=2012&chrt=V&disp=O&type=A

Plus Senate Majority PAC represents thousands of Democrat donors. You can donate direct on their website:
https://secure.senatemajority.com/page/contribute/donate

But if you really believe Kochs are only spending $13M this election, please post your email, I got some contacts from Nigeria with an excellent business opportunity they would like to discuss with someone like you.

Did you also happen look at 2010 and 2008? Were you complaining about SuperPACs then? Or just conservative SuperPACs?
