So, seriously, would anyone like to get together in a few weeks somewhere in Milwaukee?

Not the end of February, I'm gettin' outta dodge for a bit and hitting Florida.
Of course I recommend a Fish Fry :)

In that case maybe the first or second Friday in March then?

I actually really enjoy this weather... I just like it better on the weekend, and it doesn't hurt when my snowblower works. I love a snowstorm on the weekends, it's a good excuse to sit infront of the TV, play on the computer, etc.

We just took our one year old out for his first real romp in the snow a few weeks ago. He seemed to enjoy himself a lot... for about 10 minutes, then he was ready to go in.

I would be up for a get together. I will keep an eye on this thread. I would like to put in a vote for Lakefront Brewery tour and/or fishfry.

Nah
My wife sits on some totally dorky meteorological message boards (no TV/radio affiliations, just weather freaks), and they have been drooling over this storm for days now. I think (HOPE!) this one is the real deal

I just read the latest national weather service discussion on the storm for Chicago, and it does look like we are going to get hit hard.
Should make for a real fun commute tomorrow.

ROFLMAO! Did anyone else read that wiki entry on thundersnow?

Mr. D.C. from the TMJ4's Weather service also believes that this rare weather event may be caused by the legendary ThunderCats. When the ThunderCat team yells, "Thundersnow! Thundersnow! Thundersnow!" the skies begin dumping snow in legendary proportions.

Why does the National Weather Service have to yell? Don't they know I have a hangover?:p

:( Oh well, at least I don't have to work until the charity preview on Thursday evening. I'll just spend Wednesday frolicking about...the airport.

BTW, who wants to come have a drink with me some time in the next 2 weeks! :D

Well its supposed to end around 3pm tomorrow. So MAYBE... just MAYBE you will escape it all and be able to land. Or it could just stall out over the great lakes and pummel us even more (oh man that'd be sweet!)

Yea, we only got about an inch over night, but it's blizzard-like out there now. I don't remember ever seeing so many cars in the ditch on a commute to work before. It's pretty nasty out there. I really with I would have brought my camera, I would have pulled over on some side streets to take some pictures, it is really coming down out there.

Luckily Mr. Radar says it aint over: http://www.accuweather.com/rad...=1&level=state&large=1

I don't know about tapered off. It is really coming down on the EastSide/Riverwest side of Milwaukee. Luckily work was called off for me, so I am staying out of this, though it is pretty from inside. Good luck to anyone traveling today, I will be watching my new Netflix movies and . Anyone else get the day off?

Well, thus far nothing close to 20 inches here, more like 5 or 6 inches of accumulation since the snow started around 3pm yesterday. But the last couple of hours it's been a total whiteout outside. I can't even see the next building a few hundred feet away.

I'm in Deerfield IL right now, they are closing the office early and at 2pm I'll be driving NW to my home in Wauconda (about 15 miles from the Wisconsin border)

This is a huge storm ...

I hope my Chrysler gets me home in one piece ...
