Up to 20" of snow expected

EXPECTED TOTALS RANGE FROM...6 TO 8 INCHES NORTHWEST OF A LINE FROM THE DELLS TO FOND DU LAC...AND 14 TO 18 INCHES ALONG AND SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM JANESVILLE TO PORT WASHINGTON. THERE MAY BE LOCALLY 20 INCH AMOUNTS DUE TO ISOLATED THUNDERSNOW. THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL IMPACT MILWAUKEE... WAUKESHA...RACINE AND KENOSHA.

I live in Kenosha. I lose. 🙁

I feel your pain. NW 'burbs of Chicago here and we are expected to get 8-12".
Of course my company won't close tomorrow even though the national weather service issued the following lovely statement for my area:
A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW...
SLEET...AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO
POSSIBLE. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.

Impossible......that's unpossible.

i am on the southern edge of the storm track, so my house should get from zero to three inches

but it is too early to know for sure, i live in just the right spot that the northern storms tend to track north of us and the southern storms often stay just to the south of us

The report says "THUNDERSNOW". Thundersnow would so be my American Gladiator name. I've never experienced thundersnow... this may be a first!

When the snow stops. 🙂

10 inches forecast for the downtown Chicago alone...

This thing is going to annihilate the expressways again.

I don't think he snow even stops, it just takes a short break so it can pound us harder.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I couldn't handle that. Although I do admit this "thundershow" thing has me intrigued. But I'll take our 77 today in Raleigh, NC. 79 for a high tomorrow with thunderstorms.

We had thundersnow on sunday. Talk about weird.

Ok, I live in Vermont and have no fucking idea what thundersnow is. Is that like during those insanely rare instances when you get a thunderstorm that snows instead of raining? (I think I've seen that maybe once in my life)

Im right with ya OP up in MKE.
My snow blower works though. I'll just get up early and blaze a trail down I94 to your doorstep. Have the coffee ready.

WOOHO!!! I love the winter storms!!!

i live near you OP and i love it. winter is my favorite time of year and i love watching the snowfall and the look of the trees when they are covered with snow. i want to move back to the middle of nowhere so i can snowmobile agian like i used to. i am sitting here at work looking out my window hoping to see the snow flurries start any moment.

So, seriously, would anyone like to get together in a few weeks somewhere in Milwaukee?

Are you nuts !
Its a clear day , blue sky and feels like 78F, North Carolina
Weird for winter, but nice still.
