They have yet to cancel evening classes at my school, even though some of the roads are virtually impassable.

Well, thus far nothing close to 20 inches here, more like 5 or 6 inches of accumulation since the snow started around 3pm yesterday. But the last couple of hours it's been a total whiteout outside. I can't even see the next building a few hundred feet away.
I'm in Deerfield IL right now, they are closing the office early and at 2pm I'll be driving NW to my home in Wauconda (about 15 miles from the Wisconsin border)
This is a huge storm ...
I hope my Chrysler gets me home in one piece ...

That's too bad. Seems like a bad and unsafe decision to make people, esp. commuters, go to class. When I was in college, there were a few times that UWM didn't cancel, but the prof. did. Hopefully they close and nobody gets into in accident/hurt.

yeah I personally think its stupid and I don't understand it.
We do a lot of time sensitive things (courts and banks) so if those are open we kind of have to keep running too. Our rule is if the buses are running we are running... MCTS has never closed that I know of....

yeah, I've lived here for 7 years and I have never seen the buses stop running. Usually slow and way of schedule, but never stopped.

MCTS is always 15-30 mins behind schedule.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I couldn't handle that. Although I do admit this "thundershow" thing has me intrigued. But I'll take our 77 today in Raleigh, NC. 79 for a high tomorrow with thunderstorms.

As of 3pm... we're closed. MCTS be damned!
(nice accident right on Wisconsin Ave BTW)>
