The Dodgers had the best staff statistically by a not insiginificant margin in the entire National League and the Phillies' offense has tuned them up nearly this entire series.

sigh, losing in the playoffs hurts 100000x more than just not making them. 🙁 🙁 🙁 sigh...

Congrats you phillies fans, and I grant you dudes good luck from one baseball fan to another. I can only be a bit optimistic about this, since next year, a healthy dodgers team looks to be quite good. hopefully we'll meet again next year for some vengeance 🙂

BRAD, Oh Brad, Oh Brad, Oh Brad . . . YOU'll protect from the terrorists, Dodgers and evil, evil Rays! <swoon>

As a lifelong Wash DC sports fan I congratulate the Phillies...only a Caps Stanley Cup run can heal me now. Bitches

Sweet Jesus, the city is going insane right now... I can hear people cheering and cars honking their horns from out on Broad Street...

Congrats to the Phillies. Good rucks and same time next year? hopefully?

Anyone listening to that radio announcer? Jesus, and people complain about white sox announcers, that was the worst call I have ever heard in my life. It sounded like one of those synthesized computer voices.

Kalas does local TV. He's a pretty old man. Basically he calls the game from the 7th inning on now.

One of the best in the business, even still.

I wish I had a rocket launcher right now so that I could blow up all of the cars honking their horns in celebration.

Maybe at calling the game, but jesus, get some guy who isn't 90 years old to call the "and the XXX are going to the world series!"

Richie Ashburn's passed. Kalas is the most fitting to do it. Also, they clearly suppressed the background noise to give the call there. Without that, it sounds out of context.

Man, I do miss living in Jersey. I didn't think to fire up the Slingbox to hear Harry call the end.
