Unnecessary laws that would be neat to put into effect

I think it would be nice to mandate that all women between 18 - 35 be required to wear summer dresses or skirts on Saturday afternoons in the months of June, July and August.

Also, maybe a local law to allow free passage for all on public transit anywhere within 100 km of your departure point on one Sunday a month. It'd be nice to explore one day a month for "free".

Just whittling away a summer afternoon here between work assignments. Any ideas?

Thirded on the condition that certain exclusions are made for those requiring large dresses or skirts.

Cool thread topic.

Everyone with internet access at home must spend at least 10 hours per month out in public interacting with other people.

Every high school student must take a personal finance course in order to graduate.

All motorcycles will be equipped with a device that kills the engine if it generates over 100 db of noise within 100 yards of any occupied structure.

Not sending rebates within 15 days of receipt will constitute mail fraud, which is a felony.

If you have friends that come over to drink beer, whether its for sports or a party, they should be required to periodically bring over more house beer for everybody.

you guys are dumb. Think about it....you get used to sexy wear so that you don't find it as sexy. Imagine you lived in Africa in a tribe with people who were nude 24/7. After a month you'd never be able to achieve an erection!

No highschool athlete may lip-sync to rap or rock in an attempt to impress all those around him/her.

The mixing of water and milk at a public restaurant in an attempt to disguise the fact that you have drank most of the milk is a misdemeanor punishable by 3 days in jail.

:p

Parents may not assume their children have Attention Deficit Disorder unless they first remove caffiene and high amounts of sugar from their diets.

EDIT: Department of Redundancy Department.

The word "agreeance" as well as any other word made up by Fred Durst should be outlawed.

Too bad he didn't make it up (scroll down to March 10th, 2002)

Oxford Editor: Fred Durst's Use Of 'Agreeance' Was Right
Dictionary Says Word Is Obsolete

Whether you agree or not, the North American editor of the Oxford English Dictionary says Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst's use of the word "agreeance" was correct at the Grammys last month.

Durst was widely mocked and criticized by major media outlets for his apparent lack of grammatical skills when he said onstage, "I just hope we are in agreeance that this war should go away as soon as possible."

Jesse Sheidlower told the New York Observer that "agreeance" is a word and Durst used it correctly. Sheidlower told the Observer that the dictionary defnes "agreeance" as "the act of agreeing; agreement."

The editor did, however, say, that the word is not in heavy circulation. According to the Observer, the earliest Oxford English Dictionary example of the word is circa 1540, and that the latest example of its usage dates back to 1714.

The dictionary now says the word is obsolete.

"This is not a current word," Sheidlower told the paper. And it is "not a common word."

Now that Sheidlower has shed light on Durst's correct usage of the word, the singer said in the Observer, "I'm glad someone took the time to find out the truth."

The Observer said the word is still widely used in Australia, and that it pops up in legal documents here from time to time. The paper also said former Sen. Bob Kerry, D-Neb., included it in testimony about the IRS in 1997 before the House Ways and Means Committee.

"We are encouraged by the administration's agreeance that the IRS must change," Kerry testified, according to the Observer.

I have nothing to add.

Oh wait- all celebrities must make available a high-res image of themselves with no cosmetics on whatsoever. Because.
