So the Dems have had control for 2 years yet it’s their fault?

Yea I keep for getting all these problems happened in the last year or so. Oh wait. :hmm:

No one is stating the the problems just popped up in the past 2-4 years.

I am stating that within the past 2+ years, the Dems have not been able to come up with a workable solution to corral the problem and bring it under control.

ie. the problem has gotten worse, not better under the Dem leadership.

Their ways of solving the issue is not working; they claim that the Repub way does not work.
So get your heads together and get something that does work. There are smarter people out in the real world than a politiciian and some of them will tell the truth, not what a politician wants to hear.

Only a far-left kook would not realize that uncertainty about the future tax scenario and situations most certainly affects business decisions. Namely: hiring, investment, and expansion.

wait. so up until now they have been receiving the tax cuts and breaks etc.. yet they were creating jobs in china, india etc.. but as soon as we extend the tax cuts to the wealthy they will start creating jobs here?

Again, LMMFAO. This is the modern day GOP for ya! Even when they are being bent over by their lords they ask for more and blame the dems. It would be funny if is wasn't so pathetically sad.

Bush created how many jobs in 8 years? How many jobs were created under Clinton?

Uncertainty about the future environment and looming tax increases most certainly factor into the decision.

In your mind the problem with society is that taxes are just too dang low?

Taxes on the highest people in society are too low.

We can argue all day about how the money should be divided between all of the fed. govt. but I don't think anyone can really say that the deficit is a good thing.

There is an enormous amount of misinformation around tax rates, jobs, investment and growth.

You replied to my replay about someone blaming the "liberals" for this.

AGAIN last I checked this mess was mostly at the hand of the Republians.

And how has it got worse? Markets are up. Jobs are being created, not going down like under Republican control. Financial market has stabilized for the most part. Even GM, Ford, etc... are turning a profit and hiring again.

Please tell me what could have been down to make things even better in the last year or 2?

This. and then the braindead liberals wants to spend more money in the "short term" to grow the economy in the long term. Hey fvcktrds, jobs are being shipped overseas like there is no tomorrow. Unless you stop that and start bringing jobs back, you will never lower unemployment coz most ppl dont know anything better to do and cant be "trained" in "high skill" jobs either thanks to the public school system.

LMMFAO, so now outsourcing is the liberals fault? WTF?

Not their fault for it - it is their fault for not coming up with a way to controlling it/reducing the impact/reversing the trend over the past few years once the problem was identified. Instead they wrung there hands and looked for the easy short term solution which failed.

That's what is odd to me about this country. There should be whole teams of people with PhD's coming up with real solutions and all we get are watered down think tanks that shovel out the same crap that hasn't worked for 30 years.

Was it the Repubs that stated: Give us this money so we can keep the unemployment rate below 9%.

The 9% unemployment rate was a projection, not a promise.

....and how do you know that it could have been even worse than it is now? Everyone knew that the recession was coming and now that its here people seem surprised. No one will ever know how bad it could of gotten, for all we know unemployment could have been 15%+

Unemployment is not going down. Jobs are still being lost.
Market is paper profits, not employment.
Companies can downsize to make the bottom line look good.
GM is turning a profit on the government dime, not their own.
1/4 of the needed jobs for stable employment were created the past month.
that implies that the economic situation is not strong to convince employers to expand - many are still contracting.

What needed to happen and did not was to get a plan to grow the economy without hocus pocus. To retain jobs that are being shipped overseas. To convince companies that the government knows what it is doing and can deliver.

The above has not happened. The economy is operating on the normal economic cycle. Retraction, Compression, Stagnation, Recovery and Expansion. If the government wants to assist, it will figure out how to pull the Recovery & Expansion cycles forward to jumpstart the stagnation and suppliment the recovery cycles. Otherwise the Stagnation/recovery will drag on over the next 2-3 years.

Taxes on YOU are too low too. I'm in favor of increasing your taxes as well as you are not paying your fair share. Look at all that equipment in your sig.. You should be paying WAY more in taxes if you can afford water cooling.

I never said they were perfect, but that they are getting better, yet you think...

"ie. the problem has gotten worse, not better under the Dem leadership."

Please tell me how jobs being lost, Financial market in ruins, GM and other large companies about to go under, etc... is better then where we are at today?

We are worse off today then 2-4 years ago under Bush/Republicans?

So its the "libs" fault yet this was all happening while republicans had control of the house, senate, and WH.

Funny I can't seem to find your post of rage against them when they were in power?

ya, republicans shipped jobs overseas and dems want to keep paying salaries to those who lost their jobs without actually doing something to get the jobs back... find outrage yet?

I can get on board with that. I agree, the recent class of dems should be more assertive and here they are still walking on egg shells. Spineless.

YOU blamed the evil "liberals".

Please tell me how republicans fixed things in the time they controled the full Fed Gov or how Republicans are fault for most of the debt etc...

Since its the "liberals" that caused this what have republicans done to fix it when they had full power?

It was a statement made to justify to the american people that the money was neededand would put a brake on the unemployed trend.

Obama made no qualifications or waffling on the 9% statement. It was the cornerstone on which he sold/buffaloed the public.

"....even with the large prototypical package, the unemployment rate is predicted to be approximately 7 percent, which is well below the approximately 8.8 percent that would result in the absence of a plan." - Obama (Jan. 10, 2009)

liberals fault is to keep paying them unemployment benefits without trying to do something to get their jobs back and hoping the situation will fix itself.

You mean like close the loopholes that help companies outsource.
Them evil "liberals" tried but Republicans blocked it.

AGAIN what have republicans done to help and not make it worse?

Twist and turn it into whatever kind of argument you want to make. The fact is that 9% was never a promise.

What if the money wasn't there? Could unemployment be even higher? 15%+. Repubs would still be complaining then.

ya its all bush's fault, so let just sit on out asses and throw money at the monster that bush created hoping it would eventually go away. stop blaming and start taking responsibility.
