just a note for any n00bs like me that can't figure out where the 4-pin cable is on this PSU. The 4-Pin 12V cable is fused with another 4-pin cable to form the 8-pin cable. You can gently pry the 8-pin apart to reveal the (2) 4-pin 12V connectors. Maybe everyone already knows this, but it's not outlined in the manual and it took a call to support for me to figure this out.

ZZF also has this for $9.99 AR ($69.99 - $60 MIR) with free shipping. Definitely not as good of a deal, but if you really need a psu, then it's probably the best deal out there.

Actually, I had to pay tax (and shipping, of course) when I bought it from Fry's (comes to ~$15 AR) since I live in Texas, so if you don't have to pay tax on the ZZF deal but you would have to on the Fry's one then that's a better deal.

I ordered at 10:12 PM on 05/09 and received my power supply in hand at 8:21 AM on 05/10. 10 hrs to receive my PS isn't bad. Yeah, you can all hate me now!

How does the PSU perform? Seemed relatively mediocre according to jonnyguru.com. What are you people using it to run?

8800gts640@635/1000; 2x200gb7200maxtor; 1x320gb7200seagate; 2xdvdrw; 2gb ddr400; x2 3800@2.6; 5 fans; x-fi; thermaltake xaser monitor and blinking lights... ups monitor says 455w draw, including 20in lcd...

stuck the thing in this box since the orion 585 was drooping to 11.58 on the 12v line... haven't had any trouble with the orion, just figured i'd stick it in a smaller system... and jonnyguru sez that u need to load up the 5v and 3.3v lines to get good perf out of the x600...

seems to be running nice and steady so far... pretty quiet, too... 3.3 and 5v are spot on, 12v is @ 11.90...

just ordered another from the other thread for another build... just can't beat it for $10...

Wow, that's a good amount

Very true, I'll have to order one when I get home 😀.

mine came in yesterday, workin fine so far. it doesn't seem to be particularly loud either, from what i can tell it's not any louder than the ultra v 500w i had in there before, although i usually have a loud air purifier going on in my room so it's hard to distinguish between them (i probably forgot it was on when i listened because im used to the noise lol).

For those who paid shipping costs @ frys, you can call, be nice, and you might get your shipping refunded... I did !
