What if the refugee from Ukraine was not from Ukraine, but from a middle eastern country, or South American country, or Africa (excluding white South Africans)?
What if the attacker were not a black man, but a redneck with a MAGA hat or Trump tattoo?

I know ... Because the color of the victim and assailant fits right into the feigned outrage narrative. LOL, GOP has had a lock on the state legislature with supermajority veto override power for like 10 of the last 15 years. Democratic mayors have no part in making the laws or setting conditions on pre-trial release. The magistrate followed the laws that the GOP set for pre-trial release conditions on a charge that was essentially a prank 911 phone call.

The only other option she had was to release him to a mental health facility—but they’d have to agree to take him and there’s no guarantee he’d be committed all the way from January to August. If you don’t know what’s happening with hospitals and clinics in NC, they’re underfunded and shutting down because the GOP keeps blocking Medicaid expansion soon etc.
