UFC 61: Tito Ortiz Vs. Ken Shamrock (Part 2)

It?s going to turn out like the Matt Hughes vs Gracie fight. Total domination by Tito. Too bad, Ken?s face has suffered enough damage as it is and I don?t think his brain is doing all that well either.

He has always been crappy coach, it was Frank Shamrock who made the Lion's Den back then. Ken screwed him so many times on his opportunity to make it big. Ken went to WWE while he left, Frank had to train people. Frank said screw it and left. He joined Mo Smith and TK from Japan to form the alliance. Lion's Den went down hill.
When Ken was frustrated, he would take it out on his students, sending some to hosiptal etc.

The one thing I'm curious about:
Ken got his @$$ handed to him when he was 38 years old by Tito.. he is 42 now..
Does he actually think his health is better?
This fight might end up making Ken look even worse than the first fight..
 
tito ortiz may very well kill him in the ring via GNP. 🙂

as far as ken being a terrible coach on tuf3, that's true, but he was an excellent cornerman. everything he told them to do was the correct decision, the problem is, either his fighter's didn't hear him, or just disregarded him.

also dave, clark should be serious. sylvia could probably take out some of the hw boxers out there with his stand up. his counter-punching is amazing, and in both fights he's gotten hit with a crazy right hand and while it knocked him down, it didn't knock him out. sylvia on the other hand lands a half cocked right of his own and arlovski went down like a bag of concrete.

that being said...

tito by tko (ref stoppage) 2nd round.
arlovski by arm bar (tapout by submission) 2nd round.

edit: also, ken used to complain he was beaten cos he was fighting on one leg...a knee injury. :/
 
Tito is going to demolish Shamrock...this is a pure hype match. Arvloski should get sweet revenge on Sylvia too...won't be easy..but he had him in the last match...but got caught..

Silvia is some sort of monster. I've never seen ANYONE even hurt Arlovsky. Arlovsky...well, he's one SCARY mofo, but Silvia is MASSIVE.

And I hope Shamrock wipes that goddamn grin off of Ortiz's face.
 
I can't wait for tomorrow's matches, should be one of the best UFC in a while...I'm still watching the last Pride GP right now.

Silvia is definately a better fighter than Arlovski. Their 1st fight was a mishap and Andre got lucky w/ that submission. It takes a lot to knock out Silvia and he is agressive, huge, and extremely skilled pushing forward. I think AA will get ktfo again in either the 1st or 2nd rd... no doubt.

I don't see much sense to this fight either unless it's all hype. Now the Silvia/ Arlovsky fight is something I want to see.
 
if you think this is going to be a good ufc, wait until 62, if they get all the matches that are rumored, it'll be the best pre-fight card i've ever seen.
 
I used to like Shamrock until I saw him on The Ultimate Fighter 3 Reality show. He was a horrible coach, motivator and had the biggest ego I've ever seen. I gradually went to Tito's side and now hope he beats the snot out of Shamrock.
 
Maybe I didn't know enough about their histories before ultimate fighter but the media had always seemed to play tito as a rude jerk and shamrock as an honorable guy. Ultimate fighter made it looks like tito was a real nice guy and shamrock was a jerk. Interesting... makes me wonder if tito's actions against the shamrock camp had some motivation behind them that weren't known at the time.
 
I think Tito tries to get into the head of Ken..

Ken and his "I demand respect..... if I don't get it, I'll take it" comments make him look like a total ass...

HELLO KEN.. How about winning a meaningful fight sometime this decade.. you might get some respect then

these guys today are spoon fed.

1 fight and thats all. look at the past it was tourny elim style so you would fight many peeps in 1 nite. plus it was bare knuckles.

yeah Shamrock didnt do jack ******. he was useless.

I was really impressed with how Tito did though. it really made me change how i thought about tito. Now i like the guy where i used to hate him.

Tito is going to kick his ass. KO in 2nd round for Tito.

 
tito. shamrock looks like the douche who sings for godsmack, so i hope he gets his ass kicked.
 
You never know until the fight happens. You might have a guy who is 10x better than the other guy, but if the other guy executes a better fight, he can still win. That's the uncertainty of a sport where it's not best out of 7. If it were, you'd see for sure who the better fighter is on average.

I think that a lot of the kids on this forum are clueless when it comes to age. They're still kids, and they can identify with young punkasses like themselves. Ken is not too old to fight. Seriously, look at the shape he's in right now, then look at yourself. If you can honestly say that you look better than this, then you're the man.
