Too bad big John McCarthy wasn't reffing the Ortiz/Shamrock bout. After he let that blood bath go on in the undercard, I'm sure he would have given Shamrock a bit more time.

I swear, Yves Edwards must have lost over a pint of blood.

I heard about that, but have yet to see it. That's freaking crazy.

yeah that was a lot of blood and it seemed that the other matches were drifting to that side of the octagon
great fights as i havent been keeping up with ufc

the ortiz fight was BS way to fast to stop it. In this fight you should have let it go a little farther. BAD ref stoppage.

Good call by ref. Ken should have listened to the ref at the beginning of the fight. You know... where he says "protect yourself at all times".

Yeah, with Ken's immediate response to the stoppage, indicating he wasn't dazed, it seemed it was a bit premature, but I can see where it could not have been clear to Dean. BTW, anybody in the Orlando area like to get these fights on PPV? None of my friends are into this, so I had to shell out $40 and watch this at home alone. I figured it was worth it since the some of the best fighters were fighting, but it was rather disappointing. The Edwards/Joe fight was crazy, I agree with a poster above that he probably lost a pint of blood. Had he kept going I bet he would have passed out due to blood loss, crazy stuff.

Even if the fight wouldnt have stopped, tito would have ate his ass.
shamrock is not even close to the same caliber as tito.
even at their weight class, all this for nothing.
Ufc fighters got nothing on pride, not even Chuck in this weightclass.
