Yes - but it doesn't matter if it's a video game or a package of potato chips. If there is a customer service # on the item you purchased - the person on the other end of the line is suppose to be professional and courteous no matter how ridiculously repetitive the questions are.

Tish [which the name just screams a Paris Hilton or Perez Hilton fan] is [or was] probably working at minimum wage for a company contracted by Ubisoft to answer phones. Tish was busy painting her fingernails, texting to her BFF about how lame her job is, or is basically a spoiled jersey shore hair salon princess wannabe who thinks she shouldn't be answering phones. :)

Too harsh. It's just someone doing a crap job for not much money who was having a bad day. Blame the people who decided on this idiotic form of DRM.

If this is indeed exactly how the conversation went, then she will probably be punished since the calls are usually monitored.

well don't bet on it ... I once got talked down to by a Chase rep who managed my financial account and transferred some of my cash to an investment I did not authorize, I tried complaint to a manager and that manager didn't do a thing to the rep and even kept him on my account after the event. So I ended up doing the hard way and just closed all the investment account with Chase just to avoid been connected to this rep and moved my business elsewhere. I tell you sometimes you can't leave it up to the company to 'fix things' you'd have to do it yourself.

I only buy games that say "DRM Free" on the box. The last one was X3:TC.

Vote with your wallet, don't buy games with DRM.

Also, if you did buy the game and the server was down and called customer support, you are costing Ubisoft some money. 100% likely they outsource their call center for customer support, and they are probably be charged $1.50 (or more) per minute you are on the phone.

Just make sure you cost Ubisoft the price of the game by calling them frequently about their DRM... That will cause them to change their mind about their stance when all these calls about the master server being down is costing them more than it gets them with a single sale of a game.
