They're not wronging you in a criminal fashion. Why respond by stealing?

If you're going to pirate, then pirate. But don't try to justify it like that.

FYI, I buy all of my games. I said I rather pirate the game than reward Ubisoft for something like that. This doesn't mean that I will definitely pirate it.

Well...if this type of DRM causes too many problems for *legitimate* users - Ubisoft will likely pull the plug [they did the same thing with Starforce] - but I don't see it happening.

It's a hard pill to swallow - but this is the future of DRM - at least for Ubisoft. If they prove their system prevents 0-day piracy, then other publishers will probably use it as well. What then? Are we just going to give up on PC gaming all together or will this DRM-pill become more tolerable and we'll "forget" why we were complaining in the first place?

It's a shame really - AC2 was a pretty good game and so is Settlers 7... ;)

I cant speak for others here, but I WILL give up on PC gaming for that very reason. I'm tired of expensive, shitty games. I'm tired of DRM wrecking my system. And I'm tired of having to dig up important patches and reconfigure my drivers just to get stuff to play correctly at all. In the year 2010 these should be non-issues.

I already own both a 360 and a PS3 at this point, so if always online DRM is adopted for more mainstream games I simply won't buy them, or buy them for the consoles instead. I highly doubt all publishers will move to this form of DRM so there's really no reason to consider dropping PC gaming all together.

Alot of these games are also released on consoles so I doubt I'll be forced to buy it for the PC. I have a PS3 and I'm ready to invest more in that system as there's none of this BS that Ubisoft and others are doing for the PC market.
