Closing early is understandable considering it's Christmas eve but using that kind of language is unacceptable :|

Many states have laws on the books specifying that stores cannot close early without "significant cause" unless advertised in advance. Now you could maybe argue that Christmas Eve is "significant cause" but it's really up to the state attorney. Anyway, that's not the important part. Think back to the few times you've looked at the top of the doors as you're exiting some place like Wally World; chances are good it says this boilerplate text we all know:
There's a reason why that statement is there: by law it has to be, because it is intended to inform the consumer -- you -- that the store has to keep the doors open as long as they are "open". This means that even if they close at 6 they can't stop people from coming in at 5:30.THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED DURING (NORMAL) BUSINESS HOURS
In short, there's a possibility that WallyWorld closing 20 minutes early was illegal, and it's almost certain that if they weren't closing early then that kid locking the doors was illegal. When you're talking to the General Manager on Monday or Tuesday (it won't be that kid) make sure you point out the boilerplate text above the door that the kid was closing.
And yeah, maybe you should have budgeted your time a little better, but to be fair I didn't even know WallyWorld closed at 6 today until I wandered in there for something on the way to the folks' place. They still should have let you in. The kid telling you "screw you" was completely out of line, even if it was the worst day of work in his life. If you can't take the pressure of CSR work on Christmas Eve then maybe you should look for work in a less customer-oriented career.

That's very noble and all, but every situation's different, and obviously the kid had nothing to gain, unlike the owner of a mom & pop shop. And besides, IT'S BUSH'S FAULT!

WTF are you talking about?? That sign that says the doors must remain unlocked during business hours is there by law from the FIRE DEPT in case there is a fire and people need an unlocked exit. it wasnt put in place because the government regulates when a store stores hours. the store can lock the door anything they want just as long as they have an employee there with a key to let people out but they can certainily deny people from entry and not be breaking the law.

Called Walmart to see what time they close and the lady said 6 PM. It was 5:20 PM so I headed to Walmart and got there at 5:45 and they were closing already. I know it's Christmas eve but when a place advertises that they are open until a certaun time I expect them to be open to 6! The worker tells me they are closing early and I said this was nice seeing I just drove 20 minutes and it's not even 6 PM yet. The worker tells me, and I quote, "we've been here sice 7 AM so screw you"! I reply excuse me and he says, "you heard me, screw you". I was shocked that this little piss ant had the nerve to say this to my face twice! I said to the @ss hat, I want to speak to your manager NOW! He replies, "I am the manger". Now this puke is about 20 years old and weighs a buck ten wet, it took all my nerve not to snap this guys neck! I looked at him and said what your name and he said "Shawn, but it wont do you any good"! I am going back Monday and I am not leaving until this jerk is fired!
