I've been playing this game since launch and it's a pretty demanding game when settings are on their highest. I play at 1980x1200 with a 3770K at 4.5GHz and an overclocked GTX 680, I can't remember the exact overclock off hand. I was getting around 50-60fps. With TXAA on maximum that drops to 30-40fps. It's a substantial frame rate penalty in my mind. To me TXAA makes the colors seem washed out and the AA seems like 6 of one / half dozen of the other when compared to FXAA. I honestly don't think any benefits, if there are any, are worth the sacrifice.
As far as the game goes, since some people have asked, I believe it to be an excellent MMO. I love how it breaks free of the typical genre in many areas. It has some really fresh ideas and I love picking 7 active and 7 passive abilities depending on the situation and I especially love not being locked into any single class spec. The questing is extremely fun and solo dungeons are fantastic. I don't particularly care for Agartha but I can live with it. I also think the PVP is a little weak, Warhammer has my favorite PVP to date.
This game has potential to be one of the greats imho if they provide the content updates they promise.
Quick tip for fast travel for those of you playing who don't know it; Do a /RESET and then select the respawn point you want before you release and you will revive at any point on the map you wish. The price is one death repair bill which is paltry compared to how much money the game gives you.
I hope some of you are enjoying the game as much as me. I'm looking forward to large group raiding some time in the future, that's the only thing I really miss right now.
Edit: I see in the patch notes a mention of an nVidia driver coming mid-August. Might we see increased TXAA performance with this upcoming driver?
