not sure i can agree about either being "safer" than buying a new game on Day One :p

Case in point ... i could have had a heart attack and/or died after 30 days of frustration with NWN2 :|
:Q

well ...

Two Worlds map available.

ZUXXEZ Entertainment AG, the publisher of 2Worlds released a color-printed world map including 32 square kilometers, varying climate regions, six large towns, a multitude of villages and countless caves and dungeons. However, it is no use for some guys who always lose their way, like me.

Honestly, I hope the MMORPG piece is just like, 10 person co-op or something. I don't have time anymore for true mmorpg.

Two Worlds Preview@GWN

Two Worlds is an open-world RPG that promises a grand adventure. It contains several key elements that a great fantasy game should have ? secret tombs to explore, ancient temples to raid, orcs to combat, and of course humans that?ll stab you in the back if you don?t pay close attention. This could potentially be the next game to steal the souls of gamers. The main quest will contain over 40 hours of gameplay. If that isn?t enough for players, the side quests bump the playing time up to 100 hours of gameplay.

Another new short previewhere@Games radar

Two Worlds' intuitive beat-'em-up-style combo system allows you to build your own attack sequences and change fighting styles on the fly, but in reality combat amounts to little more than hammering away with whatever weapon you have to hand and running away when faced by a half decent crowd. And, as an added bonus, the AI characters won't chase you for long anyway.

More Two Worlds new here@Next Gen

Does the change to an MMO change the financial prospects of the game? Are you considering subscription fees or virtual asset purchase?

We don?t want to take extra money for the MMO part, but we do want to present the players with the best possible gaming experience. Therefore we won?t charge monthly fees. Of course the online part offers quite a lot interesting business models, like virtual assets, and we definitely will use these features; some will be free and some will cost something. But they are not the most important part of our decision. The real motivation was the attractive combination of an offline and online mode for a huge RPG universe.

News on Xbox 360 version being delayed, link.

Official word of the delay comes by way of the game's official website. No reason for the slippage has been given and the publisher is not currently able to offer a new release date.

According to the Two Worlds website, the PC game should be in stores on May 9, although a quick check with a few online retailers reveals a scheduled June 29 release in the UK.

Two Worlds - interview @ IGN .

Seaman: Really big. Speaking strictly in numbers, the game world is roughly 25% larger than Oblivion's. There are seven major cities in the game, plus a dozen smaller settlements, over fifty underground locations, and hundreds of other places to discover.

It's probably also worth noting that there are many different environments. You'll be exploring forests, deserts, islands, snow covered mountains, bamboo forests, volcanic plains, dustbowls and more.

actually there have been pre-release patches ...

who *cares* about the G-D reviews ... i want to see YOURS :p
:Q

End of June ... huh?

btw, G3 runs pretty good with the 1.12 patch ... still has that "stutter" ... but no crashes - and performance is "above 30 FPS" with *everything maxed* in game [except *only* 2xAA]
... maybe i should use 4GB RAM :p
[i probably will have 4GB by the G3 expansion]

I should really get around to trying G3 with my 4GB ram and Vista x64 ;) ,but just don't have the time right now(other games are taking my time).

I'm actually looking forward to Two Worlds(any my CE box version) more then I did with Oblivion and even G3,I hope it lives up to my expectations.Maybe I should treat myself to a R600 with Two Worlds,I'm tempted just waiting for official reviews :).

I just received an email from GAME(my pre-order for Two Worlds CE) saying its delayed now until July, funny since I read XBOX 360 version is delayed and not the PC version, their sites shows July for PC version and June 29th for Xbox 360.

This is the email I received.

As you may already be aware, the UK release date for Two Worlds Collectors : GAME Exclusive has changed to July-2007. Changes to release dates are relatively common in the videogames industry and are unfortunately beyond our control.

Don't worry, your order is still live and will be despatched prior to its release date via your chosen method of delivery.

why do i find this incredibly ironic ?

:D

STALKER runs *flawlessly* for me -- *all* in-game setting 100% maxed ... - with FRAPS - over 30fps ... waaaay smoother than G3 [even with patch 1.12]

dump your nvidia GPU and Vista ... and that *old* AMD CPU could use a good 'boost'
--or upgrade :p
:Q

It's the game causing the problem, was fine yesterday when I was was exploring the Pripyat area,so got quite far into the game, anyway I'm reading the stalker forums at the moment and quite a few have SAME issues like I have.

As to my rig, only going to upgrade my video card,my 2nd backup PC is being upgraded next down the road (quad core,Vista x64 etc..)..

i dunno

must be your rig :p

at least that's what you told me about G3 when it ran "awesome" for you ;)
[after i told you "other people" in the G3 forums were having problems like mine]

oh, the "irony"

:D

finally ... your CPU is getting a little "slow" for a HD2900xt or 8800GTX :p
-especially at resolutions over 12x10

Actually my 7800GT OC is still holding out quite well,I'm not wasting money on a new CPU,I'm not a person that upgrades every 6 months just to get best out of everything,my upgrades normally last 2 years or so ,"Joe" can have the faster CPU, I rather save the money for when I need to upgrade the CPU.

My heart is on 8800GTS or 2900XT,will get transplanted into my Quad core rig, later anyway .

Lets hope the new Stalker patch works ;).

Seaman: What's a fantasy game if you can't battle a dragon, right? We've designed different types of dragons to create that joy of discovery. Even if you die from fighting a dragon (which is likely), you'll still feel like you accomplished something just by seeing it.

So, without giving too much away, there's an earth dragon that disguises itself as a pile of stones, a desert dragon that's what would probably be considered your standard dragon, and finally there's a dragon living near lava that you'll probably want to avoid.

That sounds like fun,I miss the old dragon killing ;).
