Yes I saw another review of the 360 version and it was terrible, the PC version seems to be doing better.

Fragland reviews PC version 87%.

What I enjoyed most next to the graphics is the sound. This is very well done and with eye for detail. When I was walking around the forests, the first thing I noticed was the sound of birds in the surroundings. Also your horse makes a wonderful sound when it?s walking around and even when swimming you get to hear great splashes.

I can?t immediately find something negative about this game except for the somewhat lesser controls of the horse and a couple of bugs that are present, but with such a huge world that?s quite understandable.

The only half decent review I have found for 360 version ,link.

Another PC version reviewed here at PALGN.

Two Worlds does offer some fun, reasonably enjoyable gameplay. Its flaws are minor but unfortunately amplified by the fact that they?re poking out of a game which joins a series of titles in the same style.

The addition of a fairly substantial multiplayer component may change things slightly, but at its core it is still the same game as the single-player. Two Worlds should satisfy those pining for some fantasy RPG action, but that said there are a great deal of titles doing a better, and more interesting, job of providing for this need.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement

Interview with technical director of Two Worlds Miroslaw Dymek on technical aspects of the game .

Q: We assume you have your own rendering engine. Can you describe us the best graphical aspects of your engine?

A: We work on our 3D engine since 1998. Today it is one of the best game engines on the planet. It is able to render huge amount of polygons and use all latest technologies (pixel shaders 3.0, HDR rendering etc). It allows us to create huge open seamless worlds with great detail level.

Q: What is the polycount displayed by the engine while playing?

A: Between 500K to 1 milion

yeah right seamless. stops for about 10 secs everytime 3 minutes (depending on speed of travel) to load new area. hell returning to old area causes load again.

really makes you appreciate Bethesda (for not not making Elder scrolls the train wreck this is)

I bit the bullet and got it for the PC, ugh, it doesn't look so hot when you start it up, but I'm willing to give it another try tomorrow. The single most glaringly odd thing so far? I accidently rebound ESC so I couldn't bring up any menu and had to end task the game! Hahaha. I can't believe it lets you do that. (I hit esc to cancel a rebind and it bound the key to ESC, I didn't even think of what it might have been bound to before that).

Gamespot does their review. 7.5/10 rating

If you appreciate ambitious RPGs, seek out Two Worlds. It won't make you forget about Oblivion, but Reality Pump's take on heroic fantasy adventure is good enough to consume many, many hours of your spare time. Even though there are some flaws here, especially with the 360 version of the game, this is a solid role-playing experience.

From all the reviews PC version is definitely superior to 360 version.

Btw just received an email that my CE version has been despatched ,so I'll do my personal review soon.

I have just received my UK CE version of the game,it comes with game map,two bonus cards(you can type code in game and gives you a bonus item on the ground) comes with usual manual and DVD size hard book (about 70 pages that goes through monsters, skills, feats etc..) bonus DVD (not looked at this yet) plus usual registration and activation card.

First installation was smooth, after that you enter your activation key/details either online or via phone(option to activate later as well) which also went fine unlike my Bioshock fiasco that took 4 hours, they also send you an email reply virtually right away and give you a bonus item(enter the code in game via tile key)for activating your copy of the game(nice wish Bioshock would do that).

I did not need to update my version since it had all the latest patches installed(I did check via the update option).

I have not entered my bonus key items yet so can't tell you what items I received, but will do later ,first thing I did was change res to WS 1680x150 and no AA(I never use AA) plus disabled shadows, controls are set by default to WASD keys so I changed them to the arrow keys for back, forward etc...the game option has easy, medium, hard settings.

I played about 15 mins so this is my initial impressions of the game, graphics reminded me of Gothic 3(think of a game like G3 and Oblivion but not as good) however they were decent enough but won't win any prizes in that department,(nothing special)frame rate was smooth and I did not get any crashes (7800gt ,4GB ram,Vista x64, x2 3800+ cpu).

Funny thing on the box it says XP and Vista 32 bit only but obviously it runs fine on my Vista x64 version too and their forums confirms it will run on 64 bit XP/Vista :) .

There are a lot of keys you can customize, you have the usual quicksave, save/load keys etc...the game itself seems big and they have a poor imitation of the Oblivion style map..

I'll keep you updated on my progress and opinions of the gameplay later.

UPDATE: I have played quite a bit more now and still no crashes the bonus item codes I got was a nice sword, armour and shield(very powerful sword and high stat shield/armour for beginner level) the bonus DVD has videos, music tracks and art of Two Worlds.

The graphics are starting to grow on me ,I have not got it on max but I bet it would look very decent with HDR on highest setting,AA on,grass detail slider on max etc..providing you have a powerful video card to run at those settings.

One thing I did do was disable autosave(default is every 5 mins) which gives you a slight pause while saving at that time, quicksave is good enough for me right before I charge into combat, btw when you get killed you get teleported to a shrine with no item or exp lost far as I can tell.

I forgot to meantion sound which personally I find is excellent.I have had the odd pause/stutter that reminded me of Gothic 3,it's not serious however, mob wise they are either too easy or hard ,overall fine by me since you can always bump settings up to hard or easy depending on type of gameplay you want.

Horse riding takes awhile to get use too,the game could do with another patch to get rid of the minor pause stutter that appears now and then, however for the most part its smooth.

Here's another player's review posted at their forums, link. .

I especially agree about the horses, while I got use to the controls you are always fighting either the horse or the autonav it does around trees/obstacles etc...

I actually like the game and its huge makes Oblivion look like a very small island, you get your moneys worth in gaming hours and I have yet to have any sound problems or crashes (10 hours plus now).

The game gets better as you play it,some parts remind me of Gothic 3,exploring and getting killed by one hit from a new enemy you just found ie ,Cyclops in my case.

Mobs all vary from very easy to hard(however more easy mobs then hard in the starter areas that I ahve explored),however you level fast and loads of loot,I can see me still playing this game after xmas there's loads of towns, villagers with quests, not to meantion main story, caves, dungeons ,exploring you can do.

Alchemy is very simple you mix at least two alchemy items, and see what appears, you can save ingredients for the new alchemy potion/item you made.

Stability and sound in my case still excellent, some of the views look great too :) .

Quick update on my progress, level 42 now and some mobs can still kill me with one hit ie Ogres,Cyclops,Dead knights ,Flesh Golmens etc...the game does not require to have the DVD disc in game so once you have installed the game and activated it you can put it back in its game box.

Any fans of Gothic 3 or Oblivion you give this game a try,I found the start a bit slow but as I said it grows on you longer you play,I like the log for stats and rep says I have walked 127km lol that's without my mad horse riding.

PC reviews of the game were a bit harsh IMHO,while the game is not perfect there is a lot to do like exploring caves, dungeons, quests etc... nice skill system, loads of loots, alchemy.
Btw XBOX 360 version not as good as PC version.Remember there is a demo out too.

*agreed* ... 15 hours into the game and level 30

it is a decent game ... starts way better then G2 ... but the story is not in the same league ... even Oblivion and G3 had better stories

'Easy' is a "walkthru" ... 'medium' is OK but it is SO easy to exploit the games mechanics; hard is the best - no resurrection - but it annoying to have just "more HPs" to deal with.

it holds my interest ... recommended when it is bargain bin
- and i am gonna try Online when i *max* everything

Horse riding would have been so much better if they didn't make the horse refuse to go over certain drops. What ends up happening is you can walk up something but you can't walk back down it, so you get stuck up there.

1.6 patch soon.

Reality Pump is currently preparing Patch 1.6 for PC and Xbox 360. It should be available in the next weeks. There is no fixed date known, so asking after it would result in a "When it's done".

What does this patch fix? Just a few of the fixes: Reduced MP Lag, friendly fire in RPG mode - disabled, Crime System and Forgiveness in SP fixed, all known MP exploits like cloning of objects, framerate problems (Xbox 360) - and many, many more.

To test this new patch on PC we have created a new Group named "Patch 1.6 Betatest". To test the new patch AND provide feedback you have to
visiting Group Memberships and apply for the Group Patch 1.6 Betatest.

Please don't apply if you only want to take a look. We need people who are testing the game and providing feedback about that.

Bleech and blaaahh :(

. . .and i thought Gothic3 ending was L-A-M-E ... 2Worlds has no ending ...
-or did i miss it?

-NO ENDING!
... at all :|

i made One Choice and killed the End Boss [easily, i might add ... like in my sleep ... how disappointing ... this is an argument for Leveled Bosses ...] then reloaded and made the Other Choice and blasted the NPCs ... then .. nothing. The MQ story was poor ... undeveloped ... and the ending is a pure "to be continued" RIPOFF ... you never learn the fate of the one you care about ... or anything ... and choices don't matter at all ... the SQs are the only worthwhile experiences and there are a lot of them. But nothing on the level of the "Dark Brotherhood" or SI or G3.

HOWEVER, the 2 World's engine is *awesome* ... the best "seamless" loading i ever encountered - it is a few seconds from start screen to play. World looks good, but not as vibrant as its competitors.
--start over? why bother?
-no replay value
-the only thing i might explore is online .... and a bargain-bin expansion

.... Well, as a 'base' - without armor/rings/weapons - i had like 260 Vitality/120 dexterity/180 Strength/148 Magic [outrageously overpowering] especially from alchemy and looting all the orcs in their HQ and 'doubling' weapons - one weapon had 10,000 points of damage ... i forgot the armor that keeps you hid -it's somewhere and i missed the big bomb ... my char never rode a horse nor shot a single arrow ... nor stabbed nor pickpocketed
... i did all but 6 small SQs - 3 were badly bugged and couldn't be completed; after reading the walkthru, i eschewed the other 3 as boring.

maybe 65 hours total to do everything to Level 70 ... 2Worlds needs *writers* more then anything else ... i hope there is a good [cheap] expansion ... or free user ones [is there a toolset?].

i place it way below Oblivion and Gothic 3 ... 6.8/10 -"recommended" to get it 'bargain bin' only

for $15-20, 2Worlds would be good "filler" for 60 or so hours
... not for what i paid :|

i am looking at SpellForce2 and wondering if i should play it or not ... it looks like NWN2 and a RTS of some kind hybrid... the tutorial has you learning 100 different things at once; a commitment which is discouraging for me

Bringing an old one back up. :)

I got this game about a week ago, I've only had time to sit down with it over the last few days though. This game seems to be getting fairly average ratings (7/10ish), but I have to say so far I am really enjoying this game. I am about 3.5 hours into it and am at level 12. It's been quite enjoyable so far. The world is huge. The graphics are very, very nice with everything maxed. There is nothing earth shattering about this game, but it seems to be very well done. Anyway, I just had to chime in, so far I give it a 9/10.

Two Worlds is a poor man version of Oblivion/G3 etc ..however there were some things I liked about the game, its worth buying once it hits the bargain basement(stay away from 360 version).

I would say make "The Witcher " your top priority if you want one of the best RPG games of the year.

I played Oblivon quite a bit, but then got bored with the fighting and level up system. I may give it a try again with some of the mods that are out now (I played it when it came out) but I'd take TW2 over Oblivion when talking unmodded retail versions.

I've heard good things about "The Witcher" too... I'll probably check that one out when I'm done with TW2.
