So, after the gun fight in Watertown, what happened to the suspect? Did he drive off in a SUV? The SUV has been recovered? Still appears they're still scouring the local area in Watertown for him and say that he's possibly back in Cambridge.

It must not be too difficult for recruiters to find disaffected Muslims in America. Heck, you can just browse this forum to see how many people hate you and post topic after topic that call you every bad thing you can think of.

Most people aren't bad but it would be easy to "prove" how much you, as a Muslim, were hated by many people in America.

Even politicians are elected again and again despite broadly painting you as evil.

iirc they started in a Honda CR-V but then carjacked a Mercedes SUV which they were using when they shot the police officer.

Strangely I don't remember what they said happened to the Mercedes. I know they found the abandoned Honda.

[Updated 12:30 p.m. ET] The Kyrgyz government said Friday that the two Boston Marathon suspects moved from Kyrgyzstan 12 years ago to the Russian region of Dagestan, from where the Tsarnaev family emigrated to the United States.

“Given that the suspects left the Republic at the ages of 8 and 15, the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan considers it inappropriate to link them to Kyrgyzstan,” it said.

That's why i try to be friendly to Muslims. They get a lot of shit from "Patriotic" Americans (see: sig). Just a reminder every now and then that not all Americans are like Spidey and there are good people out here can go a long way.

fixed that for you.

i'm glad i grew up in a very diverse area and am friends with all races.

Well, i put Patriot in quotes, but that's basically what i meant. The loudest Americans proclaiming themselves to be patriots are the Americans that hurt this country the most.

I try to be friendly to everyone... I don't judge someone until they give me a good reason to do so.

Supposedly the guy who had lost his legs in the bombing helped identify one of the suspects. If so, the cowboy hat man who helped to save his life really played a huge role indirectly, kind of like a modern messed up "It's a Wonderful Life." Sad for the tragic events he's endured, but they put him where he needed to be that day.

O_O

A 27-year-old man whose legs were blown off by the Boston bombings reportedly helped FBI agents identify one of the suspects, saying the man looked him in the eye as he placed a bag filled with explosives at his feet.
Jeff Bauman was waiting for his girlfriend to cross the finish line just before 3 p.m. Monday when a man wearing a cap, sunglasses and a black jacket dropped a bag at Bauman's feet, his brother, Chris Bauman, told Bloomberg News.
Two and a half minutes later, the bag exploded, shredding Bauman's legs. A photo of his bloodied body being rushed by wheelchair from the scene has become an iconic image of the terrorist attack.
"He woke up under so much drugs, asked for a paper and pen and wrote, 'bag, saw the guy, looked right at me,'" Chris Bauman told Bloomberg News.

A reporter on wbz found fellow students who said he was on campus tuesday and wednesday! He missed soccer practice on monday, they called him but got no answer. One of them got a ride home on from him on wednesday. They also added he was a terrifying driver and a big pothead (clearly that's behind this violence, lol.) They also said he never talked politics with them.

Unbelievable that he just went on with his life after the bombing.

Yep, read that this moring. Beyond words at that. On one hand your life (and body) have been forever scared and you have those images in your head for who knows how long. On the other hand you were lucid enough to remember the specific events and help bring your attacker to justice (or death as the case may be).

As for the "Cowboy hat guy", just goes to show how important of a piece you can play several steps removed from what you are actually doing.

As the saying goes, life is stranger than fiction.

I live in in Boston and just pray that that this ends without the loss of of more innocent people.

I don't think he can possibly be on the road at this point. If I wanted to hide out somewhere near where I live I can think of a few places that I could hide for hours or days where no one could find me. This thing may go on until he is forced to search for food and water. I wonder if they took any supplies from the 7-11?
