Two explosions reported at Boston Marathon finish line! **Suspect #2 in Custody!!**

Our newspaper said this morning that there were 17 Tallahassee residents running the marathon from one club - don't know about any others - and that, fortunately, all 17 were safe.

I didn't hear all of the conference this morning. Does anyone know if any of the victims were runners or were they all bystanders?

Some people listed as being injured had simply fallen from the explosion and such, but were not actually near the bombs. Any bumps or bruises were being listed, I believe, so the old man who fell in the videos from the shock is listed as an injury.

And rightfully so. I don't like "inflated" numbers either but people that were physically affected should be counted, even if minor.

According to one of the stories I read, that guy turned down medical assistance and simply walked home to his wife. I can't imagine things like that were counted.

I've been following this since yesterday. It's awful. What could anyone hope to gain by doing something like this?

People that do this stuff honestly think whatever cause they're obsessed with is also the #1 priority of everyone else. Therefore, if they do an attack like this, they think everyone will say "This must be in retaliation for tax laws (gun laws, US policies...pick a category)! We must change them immediately!"

In reality, all it shows is the attacker is a delusional coward that isn't intelligent enough to present change in a civilized way. Therefore, he has to resort to brutal, faceless violence.

Anyone else realize that nypost is posting false information?

This is at least the 3rd time you've posted that. The NYPost is not alone. So don't read them but stop posting this.

I honestly think there are just some sick fucks out there that enjoy this shit. They will claim religion or the retaking of land or whatever to justify it. In the end they are just sick twisted fucks that need to be locked up or dead. There is no reasoning with their kind.

gain? chaos? just plain old murder? who knows.

could be someone fucked up in the head and thinking this will make them "famous".

could be someone who wants to make a "statement".

I said in the anti gun threads. A insane person is going to do whatever they think they have to. from building a bomb to gettign a gun. people are fucking insane.

this could have been a lot worse then it was. i consider only 3 lucky considering the bombs.

I think you might be right. Religion just gives them validity and some sic sense of being "just"

One of our local radio stations posted this question to Facebook (and asked it on air):

Is there anybody listening that gets "turned on" by disaster? 1-855-SHOWGRAM

Sick bastards

That's correct, injured does not equal wounded.

FOX NEWS reporting bombs were made in pressure cookers packed with ball bearings. Not particularly professional. Also saying this type of bomb was first seen in Afghanistan.
