Turkey Burgers

Just cooked up some Kroger brand turkey burgers, they were delicious and tender and stuffs, I cooked them up with a teaspoon of olive oil and a teaspoon of butter in a skillet, medium high, and put a kraft single on at the end!

I still think regular hamburgers have a slightly better texture and flavor though, but these didn't disappoint, was like $2.50 for four burgers and like $1.50 for 8 buns.

What's ATOT's opinion on turkey burgers?

eh.

my doctor always tells me to eat red meat, so it's hard to justify turkey burgers.

I used to eat them when I was fat, though. they were pretty OK when prepared basically the same way I'd prepare a burger.

All the close minded people gonna hate. Perfect image from google btw.

Turkey burgers are awesome.

Forget buying pre-made ones and make your own with ground turkey.

Yeah, the pre-made were easy so I was like whatever. I didn't have high hopes.

Making my own with ground turkey will be better, because these got slightly oblong during cooking.

Thickness was absolutely perfect like 3/4" or so.

fixed 😛

No that is not fixed. If anyone is talking about turkey burgers it is mainly due to eating more healthy. I always use good ground beef when making anything but the best compromise between health and overall taste is a mixture of good ground beef and turkey.

I was in the hospital, they told me to lay off the fatty foods for a while.

Plus these are cheap as fuck is enough reason for me to buy them again.

Cheaper than a BK double and I liked it moar.

There are a lot of recipes where you can substitute ground turkey for ground beef and it will be fine. Burgers are not one of those recipes.

ehh .. ground beef is better, but turkey isn't bad.
I have had very tasty turkey burgers before even when a friend spiced them up and made them.

I find the texture way to soft. Plus it's hard to get a nice crusty outside on them.
If I am going to eat a healthy burger I go with 93 percent lean ground beef and load up the condiments. I still get the excellent beef flavor without the fat.
