I find the texture way to soft. Plus it's hard to get a nice crusty outside on them.
If I am going to eat a healthy burger I go with 93 percent lean ground beef and load up the condiments. I still get the excellent beef flavor without the fat.
you just went and made some?I got the outside beautiful, the key was heating the pan and then dropping them in, and moving, it got a nice brown slight gold crust 🙂. Plus pressing occasionally with my flipper thing ensured a more even outside.
But yeah, my only gripe was it was a little soft on the inside.

grinding your own meat ftwGround turkey isn't any healthier in any way than red meat. Plus, they usually include the skin and stuff in the turkey. I like it for variety, but there's no reason to substitute it in place of beef.
Ground turkey breast is another story, but that's more expensive.
