Yes that one and
Obama is going to take away over 90M Americans' healthcare plans but he is letting Iran keep its nukes. Just think about that. [SOURCE]
and
It would be nice if our commander-in-chief was as concerned for our Veterans health as he is for illegal immigrants becoming citizens. [SOURCE]
and
Seems to be the next election must be about jobs and gas prices—not birth control. [SOURCE]
and
Same CDC which is bringing Ebola to US misplaced samples of anthrax earlier this year http://www.cnn.com/2014/07/15/health/cdc-anthrax-ziploc-bags/…Be careful.

Also, some of those quotes are correct and have been proven by scientific studies since then:
Not only are wind farms disgusting looking, but even worse they are bad for people's health http://bit.ly/I9Dl8k They should be outlawed and allowed only in heavily industrialized areas.
and
Remember, new “environment friendly” [spiral] lightbulbs can cause cancer. Be careful—the idiots who came up with this stuff don't care.

People use your brains before blindly accepting everything you read.
YO... Douchey!
The subtopic on that web page is.... wait for it...

So, does that help clarify it a wee bit for you doctor sp33dy?

Sweet freaking Jebsu... you need to take your own advice.

Three links to Trump tweets, an accusation that the CDC is bringing Ebola to America followed by a link to an attention troll trying to build a brand with bullshit about wind farms.

There's a reason that "post-truth" is the word of the year. It describes Trumpsters' headsets entirely.

Jeebus... Trump could head the most amazing feats of humanity imaginable and our local progressives would STILL hate them all - just because of the man at the front they've been told to hate.

A moon base is a good practice location for a mars base. Experiment. Experience. *sigh*

Here's the thing: us progressives believe in evidence. Trump has yet to provide any, and at least some of his promises are impossible to keep (the classic being "we'll build the wall and make Mexico pay for it"). Let's see him actually make progress on a Moon mission before proclaiming him the savior of humanity, shall we?

1) I never claimed he WAS the saviour of humanity, only that no matter what good he may do - you'll still hate it. Regardless.
2) "us progressives believe in evidence"....

..."us progressives believe in evidence"...

Nice presumption. A bit like your presuming that Trump will solve all the world's ills before he's even set foot in office.

If a newly-elected leader has no political experience, a demonstrable history of lying and a recent fraud settlement on his hands, he has a lot of work to do to show that his policies are sound. If he does, great -- the country's better off. But to say that his past doesn't reflect well on his plans would be an understatement.

Anyone surprised to see our regressive progressives flip out at the thought of welfare ending? :D :D

Ok this thread. Just some thoughts.

  • Earth science has some benefit even for deniers of the man-made part of global warming. If you say hey we'll just adapt well it's cheaper to adapt if you have some idea how to adapt. Earth sciences gives you that.
  • Manned spaceflight increases don't have to come at the expensive of other programs
  • We can go to Mars without going to the Moon first. We can also go to the moon first.
  • NASA has had plenty of long duration spaceflight experience with ISS, 16 years manned and counting
  • While we report to the VP and Pres don't forget that funding comes from congress. If they don't fund what the Pres wants we can't do it.
  • Dont forget congress has a lot of pet projects for NASA. Sometimes they add money to existenif programs like SLS. Sometimes they levy additional requirements like the Europa Lander
  • SLS and Orion were heritage programs from Constellation which was to go to the moon.
  • SLS and Orion can also be used as
part of system to go to Mars.

Oh and to whoever was going on about the magnets. We treat astronauts as radiation workers. So we measure their lifetime dosages and if they reach the limits they don't fly.

New modules like the ISS inflatable BEAM module may reduce some forms of radiation.

There has been investigations into using magnetic fields to shield spacecraft. Here's a model spacecraft in a charged plasma flow shielded by a magnetic field. This was done by a U.K. group at ITER if I remember correctly.

All of which can be used to reduce radiation. On the surface Mars soil or Lunar regolith would provide shielding.

Oh and the EM drive passed peer review. It continued to produce thrust in a vacuum, both forward and reverse, at 40, 60, and 80 watts. Thrust appears to be around 1.2mN per kW. This puts it two orders of magnitude above other propellantless craft like light sails but an order of magnitude below conventional Hall effect plasma thrusters.

Errors were calculated at +6micronewtons. While absolute thrust was measured between 40 and 120 microNewtons.

Anyone that isn't an idiot would "flip out" at that.

You want an army of starving, disenfranchised people with nothing to lose in your country? Because I fucking well don't!
