Yeah, DeVos was not his first choice ...
Sorry, but some of President-elect Trump's picks were critical of him during the election and weren't numbered among his supporters.Need it be said again that his almost sole requirement for his first choice picks has been, above all else, loyalty. Not competence, intelligence, experience, or qualification. Rewards for the bootlickers who ate their conscience...if they actually had them to begin with. If you were willing to totally debase yourself intellectually and morally on live TV to defend the indefensible you're pretty much in.

Christie is an interesting counterpoint to that. When it came down to friends vs family, family won. Kushner hates Christie because Christie put his father briefly in prison rather than letting him off entirely. Christie would have discredited himself bigly at the time had he done anything less.

Here's another interesting influence on the family-

It's remarkable how a clan of crooks, liars & charlatans have been chosen to "clean up Washington".
Also his pick for Education, but color me unsurprised you are wrong and don't give a rats ass.If appointing Nikki Haley to a post he would just as soon get rid of qualifies as reaching out color me unimpressed.

"
DID NOT SUPPORT TRUMP
DeVos did not support Trump’s candidacy, telling the Washington Examiner in March that he “does not represent the Republican Party.” Her family foundation has donated between $10,000-$25,000 to the Clinton Foundation, according to an analysis by The Washington Post."
That's shaving it pretty closely, but agreed.Your apparent reading comprehension problem is most concerning. I said "first choice picks" which in the case of Sec of Ed was Jerry Falwell Jr.
Who would the losing team like to see as cabinet appointments for a Republican president? We'd all love to hear them.

Just when I thought there couldn't be a worse choice than DeVos (never taught, no educational degrees, never attended one day of public school in her life and nor did her children) Trump proves me wrong.
I thought his claim to fame was he was going to pick Class A leaders who were heads and shoulders above the usual Washingtonians.
How about Cheney for Sec. of State?I guess Petraeus is the latest favorite for Sec of State, according to the media anyway.
Petraeus is smart, though having an affair and sharing classified information with that reporter was pretty freaking stupid. I guess after screaming about Hillary's email server for the past year, Republicans are probably just going to give a pass to Petraeus.
Let's face it, though, it could be worse. At least Petraeus has foreign affairs experience.

Petraeus would be a fine choice for two reasons:
1. He appears to be competent and sane, both of which are in short supply in the Trump administration so far.
2. Would expose the comical hypocrisy of Republicans complaining about Clinton's email server.
