What's perpetually disturbing about Trump supporters is that they're fiercely loyal to him, not even to the party or the ideals. People made fun of the Obama "hope" iconography, but it was always clear that it was what Obama represented that mattered, not the notion that you had to follow him at all costs.

That does raise the question of what happens if Trump loses, mainly after he's officially left office. I suspect they'll watch Trump TV around the clock, but I can't help but imagine them feeling listless when they realize that Trump no longer has power, and probably never will again.

Slavery isn't codified anywhere in the constitution. The EC is a function of being a republic 50 states.

The EC is actually anti republic as they are not elected officials nor do they represent the people.

A better indirect system would have been the house electing the president (which is unconstitutional).

So no, the EC isn’t a function of being a republic. In fact I’m curious as to where you even came up with that.

Uh oh, here comes Grandpa Ranty to drop some bullshit and Russian disinfo onto our heads
Trashbag is the kind of person who thinks that the number of road signs he sees driving in the middle of nowhere represents the vote count. He's also proven to be a fucking lunatic who believes whatever his thought leaders train him to believe.

He hasn't even tried. It's that science meets common decency thing of which Trump has no comprehension. Biden doesn't want the deaths of others on his conscience. Trump DGAF. He cares only about himself.

To be fair Trump also cares about Ghislaine Maxwell, he wishes her well. He supports accused pedophiles. All these pro Trumpists that call Biden, Tom Hanks, whomever they disagree with a pedo, they are all projecting. I suspect OilFieldTrash is really a priest and has been abusing little boys for decades. I heard that from someone online.

I believe he said, "Nice view from up here."

To which they both replied, "Nailed it."
As I said, I don’t remember just suspect if I did it might tie somehow into this. But I know it wasn’t what you said. I’ll have go go look it up but more likely it was something about loving a parade.

I believe you are harking back to the Easter joke I first heard in the 3rd grade at St. Mary Madeline's: "Drop that cross one more time and you're out of the parade!" 😉

@Fanatical Meat , you might want to lighten up with your generalizations.
Those guys in the blue dump trucks might be getting paid to drive them in the rally, with little or no choice in the matter.
My union recommends Biden, recommends progressives for the most part for the last 30 years I have been paying attention.
That does not mean that both of us don't know more than a few boneheads who vote against their collective best interests 🙂
It brings to mind the openly gay Republicans. WTF?
My folks were big in the Democratic party and organization from the 60's onward. Both were union members. My brothers and sisters too.
Personally, I caucused for Bernie in 2016, when our state still had caucuses.
For every loudmouth squeaky wheel nimrod, I believe there are 3 or 4 quietly doing the right thing.

I was just telling my wife this yesterday. Let's hope that dipshit loses. He is not going away. He will have a weekly, if not daily radio show spewing his continual bullshit. His base will eat it up and still follow him, but will the rest of the Republicans follow him? He could end up splitting the Republican party.

I don't think the party will feel much need to cling to him. Don't know if it'll split the vote, but GOP politicians certainly won't be obliged to kiss Trump's ass unless they believe a lot of his voters are necessary, and I suspect that won't be the case very often (see: serving Republicans already starting to distance themselves from Trump).

Sycophant cultists. Why else would they be so excitable?

Face it, this is America. This is the majority of America. These people run the country and probably will for the next 4 years. None of us can believe it happen or understand exactly how this happened. I sure don’t. When I watch my own family fall under the spell I absolutely can not comprehend it. Forget about everyone else, I just want to know why and how my family went insane? Was electing a black president really that terrible? Apparently, for them it was. We know it was for Donald Trump and for Mitch McConnell, where they openly admit this often. With all that Trump and McConnell have done how could anyone not see the racism within? It’s so damn obvious yet mainstream can’t talk about it because it’s so not political correct. The god’s truth is... bigotry and racism rules Donald Trump, rules every single Trump supporter, rules all of the Republican Congress, and will continue regardless if Trump is or isn’t re-elected. So, how does one cure a sickness so deeply embedded into society? I don’t have the answer, I’m just asking.

You don't need people to change their votes. You just need them to move to states where their votes would have impact.
That's the current system.

I'll be the prick who thinks the electoral college has value. Unfortunately we have an issue with national political organization manipulating the system to try and insure minority rule.
I prefer that gerrymandering be addressed.
Addressing gerrymandering would certainly help legitimize state and local elections, but I dont think it would solve the problem of the electoral college. The only way I see to make a fair presidential election is to have everyone's vote count equally, which can be done by electing the president by popular vote majority.

Truly energized.

The Right votes. The Right partakes in government. The Right is involved. Back in Nov 2016, my reaction to Trump's win was; well, this is what America wanted. And, to those Americans that did not want this; did you even vote brah?

But, back to Trump supporters. It is now, more than ever, evident that they do not want equality, freedom, fairness and doing the right thing (choosing life, respecting privacy, being in moral, justice, etc.). The last 4 years have proven that they hide behind laws, holy scriptures, really shallow 'morals' and do what they do, just to mess with people.

There has been no compromise. Or, even Law & Order. Where Trump did spit in the face of Law & Order, they immediately whataboutismed.

They don't care about these things. Their noise is solely to screw with people they don't like and clearly hate.
trump shitted on the constitution.
