There's just too much crap. Know what we need? More of this.

Trevor Noah and a hard core Conservative (note not Trump supporter) having differences of opinion but finding common ground on ideological issues. It was astonishing to see two obviously intelligent people from vastly different personal histories rationally discussing issues they consider important.

A respectful talk. How the hell did that happen? Trevor is supposed to rip that racist to shreds and disparage him with every fiber of his being, while Goldberg is supposed to look down on the darkie and side with white supremacists!

This is THE thing we mostly many years ago and "well they did this and they did that" isn't the thing. We collectively allowed this to die, didn't fight hard enough to keep it and now it's quaint and unwanted by a substantial number of people as evidence how "discussions" play out.

Damned shame, but it's how we are, and often that includes the press along with the Republicans.

Pwahahahahaha

Republican snowflakes deserve every roasting they get.

Republicans have shown they have no chill, they do not care about anyone but themselves. Republicans do not want respectful talks. You cannot all of a sudden say that we need to treat each other civil if you vote republican. You support them and their trash.

Thank you for proving my point.

I hate those liberal snowflakes who need their safe spaces and can’t hear contrary ideas.

Also, it’s an outrage that the White House press secretary had mean things said about her.

At its heart it's an award show and funds some scholarships for aspiring journalist. Looking at WIKI looks like they've had comedians most of the time, Bob hope was there would love to see some of the routines.

The good old days were much different than what we have today. I couldn't find any clips of Bob at the dinner but I did find this and I hope that you like it.:p

There's no double standard. Liberals are the whiniest people on the planet.

GAWD DAMN the fucking ironing is delicious!

Dude. The one and only whiny little bitch in this thread with a clear and present case of little man syndrome is you. Your overcompensation for your obvious physical shortcomings is shining brighter than the noon sun at the equator on the equinox under a fucking magnifying glass.

I can’t say I blame him for not going. I’m not sure why anyone would attend honestly.

Because a good person without an extremely fragile ego wouldn't have problems attending.

You do know that the last President to intentionally skip a WHCD was Carter, right? And that he still attended some of them? The only reason Reagan skipped one was because of that whole "assassination attempt" thing. And it's safe to say other presidents weren't so frightened of criticism that they retreated to a pep rally.

Oh look another one in here defending the honor of his NAMBLA chapter. How nice. You may want to check with your old lady about my shortcomings. I've been gagging her and stretching it out for awhile now. I get any "littler" or "shorter" you're gonna fall right in.

That's it grunt. We're done. You're dismissed.

That's a whole lotta projection there, little guy.

Not getting much relief in your incel forum, are ya?

You can always tell a man's deepest fears and emotional wounds by how he impotently strikes out at others.

So far, we can tell you're a little bitch who has trouble getting laid, fantasizes about little boys and the one time you did get laid, he/she cheated on you.

You poor little man.

I know she’s not the president but if Sarah Huckabee Sanders decides she’ll never attend again would you say she has a fragile ego? I’ve only watched a few minutes of it but it seems the comedian went beyond a roast. Why would anyone sit up in front of a crowd and knowingly subject themselves to that.

If you think that was "beyond a roast" you've never seen a good roast. And you share Trump's fragile ego.

Then again, why would someone take a White House Press Secretary job where they knowingly lie on a daily basis and undermine the credibility of both their office and the entire country?

From what I've read of Wolf's remarks, she wasn't actually criticizing Sanders' appearance, just Sanders' complete lack of ethics. I wouldn't fault Sanders for declining another dinner (at least she was willing to show), but she'd be in a much better position to complain if she resigned and started telling the truth.

Pretty brutal, but not at all undeserved. I'll have to get back to all the offended snowflakes once I locate my quantum violin.

I never thought I'd feel bad for Trump people like Sanders but Wolf managed to do that. I guess I don't get roasting humor to this degree. It seemed that the purpose was often to be intentionally cruel and malicious and that while Huckabee may deserve crap I'm not a fan of giving it that way. To give people there some credit they toughed it out while Trump would have been the one person which could not have.
You mean she executed the Trump style but only funny?

Your sympathies are sorely misplaced.

He doesn't get that we're past niceties. If ever there's a time to hit hard it's now.

I have my own thoughts and standards and that generally includes civil behavior. Perhaps you get satisfaction from Wolf and I get that. I thought it was funny as hell when Avenatti photobombed Sarah and Conway. I try to avoid cruelty although I'm capable of it. That's my nature.

Is Trump one day closer from being removed? No. Is Avanetti closer to a trial date? No. Is anyone likely to say "well hell these people are awful"? No.

What you won was satisfaction in pissing people off. I get that, I really do. The visceral pleasure of letting these people know what you feel. You can't shout at them to their faces so Wolf provided the satisfying metaphorical twist of the blade but without warmth of life leaving the body as it flows over your hands and spills onto the ground, ending the enemies ability to act and harm the nation you are there to protect.

But it's Monday and none of this pleasure was significant or real so it doesn't change anything. What did anyone really win that changes the world?
