Statistically you are far more likely to die young at the hands of incompetent Doctors, nurses and hospital workers through medical error.
Not true! In fact I would bet it is a blatant lie!
Link or are they your alternate reality facts??

You can keep on abusing children by instilling the faux fear and outrage about statistically unlikely school shootings if you want to, but don't pretend it's anything except political grandstanding.
Aww afraid you might loose your little gunny gun gun?? awww TRIGGERED!! I have never met somebody before even on these forums who would value their gun over the life of a child!! You must really be one sick person!!

John Hopkins study:
https://hub.jhu.edu/2016/05/03/medical-errors-third-leading-cause-of-death/

"Analyzing medical death rate data over an eight-year period, Johns Hopkins patient safety experts have calculated that more than 250,000 deaths per year are due to medical error in the U.S. Their figure, published May 3 in The BMJ, surpasses the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's third leading cause of death—respiratory disease, which kills close to 150,000 people per year. "

As opposed to ? per year?

Well. Let’s look at from a different angle.

How many lives did doctors and nurses save last year

You are quite welcome to look at it any way you'd like, but the fact remains that in comparison deaths due to medical error are far, far, far more prevalent.

You didn't answer my questions.

But I will answer yours. In 2018 est 250k - 440k die in America because of medical error, 40k die from guns in 2017 now lets assume it stay the same in 2018. But there is another number 100k gun injuries by intent and those 100k people treated by Doctors and Nurses. Now medical error is bad no question about it, but if the patient carry gun will it reduce the number of medical error?

You are counting suicides. Leave those out of it. I bet you're in favor of assisted suicide laws.

How many people died because a Doctor lost his job and when confronted by another stressful event he had a Script Pad in the backseat?

So what? All you offer is duh-version. Trump & the GOP won't do shit about gun control. They're owned by the NRA & the NRA makes their money selling guns.

"He said any measures must satisfy the competing goals of protecting public safety and the constitutional right to gun ownership and seemed to cast fresh doubt on the merits of instituting more thorough background checks for gun purchases. "

What are you proposing to stop all mass shootings?
Congress bans all gun ownership.
National Guard goes thru every home in America and confiscates all guns and any other weapon currently banned or deemed too dangerous for dumb little civilians.
Hire 10 million more police and put them on every block in America.
24 hour surveillance on every house and business in America, all video data sent to a large central service run by the FBI or homeland security, staffed by another 10 million full time employees who do nothing but watch us constantly.
Death penalty for any American or foriegner who tries to manufacture or sneak in guns.

And since thats never going to happen, we are never going to stop all mass shootings.

I'd rather have the occasional mass shooting instead the fascist authoritarian and leftist wet dream you portray, but maybe it's just me.

I aren't counting suicide it is the number including suicide and I see no reason to leave it, you can't make cake and eat it too. Why don't you including # of live saved my med pro?

And by the why I am in favor of assisted suicide in condition. Anything else you wanted to throw into the kitchen sink?

Actually you are using an article about Medical deaths that were an accident or that the physician never set out to kill his patient and trying to compare it to somebody with a gun who purposely in a pre-meditated or planned manner goes out to purposely kill as many people as he can!

You know what the difference in the 2 are??
The doctors and staff are always evaluating and changing things to limit the amount of muistakes or errors that lead to the death of a patient!
A cold blooded killer assembles whatever weapon and ammunition he can get his hand on without a concern for anybodys life and quite often without a concern for his own!!

You are comparing apples to handgrenades.......so sorry you lose!!
How does it feel to be an advocate for the killing of others just because you believe your 2nd amendment right trumps other peoples right to the pursuit of hippiness!!

As Zinfamous stated so eloquently I might add --
"pursuit of happiness" has been challenged relatively successfully in the past, w/ SCOTUS.

seems to be that your "right" to terrorize babies and immigrants by your mere presence and threats to grenade them is a direct conflict of their right to pursue happiness in life, wouldn't you agree? I think that careful consideration of the actual US Constitution (the real one--not the fantasy one in your broken asshole brain) would reveal that you live far outside constitutional protections...because, you see: you are a bloodthirsty, fascist asshole.

You do know that you're talking about the Declaration of Independence and NOT the Constitution ? Right?
My Right and indeed every citizens right to arms is Constitutionally guaranteed and you may try to change it if you'd like, knock yourself out son. Just do it the way the Constitution set it up. It shouldn't be hard for you to understand.

We already effectively ban the sale of some firearms to the general populace. We can do the same with pew-pew rifles & high capacity handguns. The vast, vast majority of gun uses in self defense are settled with the first few rounds if any are fired at all. A snub nose 38 is every bit as intimidating as a 17 round Glock, anyway.

Maybe with some luck and a few more SC appointments we can fix that old problem.;)
