FTFY....Trump would have no idea either about the Tulsa massacre or Juneteenth. That would require a modicum of historical curiosity and the ability to read more than a few short monosyllabic sentences at a time.

However Stephen Miller can with some remote advice from Steve Bannon. That's right in their wheelhouse. Giving the middle finger to black people while giving a thumbs up to their racist base is a 2-fer

It's obviously a vain attempt at appearing like he cares about the black community, but let's be honest: there's a good chance you won't find a single black person at the rally, and if they're present they'll likely be an invited guest, paid to be there or both.
 
Per the Presidents hot little spokesperson the day was chosen on purpose. Ham handed purpose....
White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany told reporters Thursday that President Trump will resume rallies on Juneteenth, a holiday marking the emancipation of slaves, in Tulsa, a city with a history of a deadly racial massacre in order to “share some of the progress that has been made” for the African American community.

Asked what Juneteenth means to the President, she said, “The African American community is very near and dear to his heart. At these rallies he often shares the great work he has done for minority communities,” citing criminal justice reform and HBCU funding.

She continued, “He’s working on rectifying injustices… So it’s a meaningful day to him and it’s a day where wants to share some of the progress that’s been made as we look forward and more that needs to be done.”

Let's face the facts here, we're referring to a nitwit who thought that forcefully dispersing a peaceful protest so he could wave a bible over his head in front of a church he wasn't invited to be at would somehow improve his image as a law and order tough guy such that it would help him get reelected.

He's like a convicted discredited televangelist hawking supposedly holy water in used soft drink bottles on a street corner, still thinking that charisma he projected that gave him luxury private jetliners and God's gift of a golden forked tongue to fleece his flock of fools with was still within him in all of its sacrilegious glory.

And to prove he still got "it", he's going to have a virus spreading rally attended by a herd of emotionally charged zealots who think they are somehow immune because the virus is a hoax meant to hurt their leader.

That right there has all the makings of a smash hit Twilight Zone/Outer Limits crossover episode. Stay tuned.

edit - Going to be interesting to see if wearing a mask to the rally is considered to be an act of treason against Trump therefore nobody should be wearing them in his presence.

I don't see it that way. More likely is he just used the photo op as an excuse to gas and assault the protesters.

Why not both?

He has a well documented statistic streak. He wants to see people physically hurt and himself glorified. What he did was a twofer for his sick personality.
