You do know if you attend the rally you must sign a release waiver -- stating that if you come down with the virus you cannot hold the Trump organization responsible....lolol

I wonder if that's giving any would-be attendees some pause. I'm sure the answer is "not nearly enough of them," but it would be amusing if attendance was low enough that Trump was embarrassed.

All they have to do is put at the top of the form FREE METH AND BEER.

Then all the worries fall by the wayside.

Guys like Miller and Kushner? All the freaking time.

They don't know or care either. This would come to mind as quickly as labeling antifa a terrorist organization while soliciting votes from the Klan.

It's not important to them and a hangnail is a greater threat to the nation than the KKK.

Wait - do you think I'm saying there are guys in Trump's orbit who he listens to who would want to avoid the insult of his holding a rally in Tusla on Juneteenth? I'm suggesting guys like Miller likely know about it and consider the insult and antagonism a feature.

Fox meme today. Dems hypocrites for supporting protesters during pandemic, but Trump can't rally. Boo hoo.

The orange menace changed the date to 6-20

"He said he is moving the rally to June 20 “to honor their requests.”

Not because it was the right thing to do.

Reading the tweet about moving the rally off of Juneteenth sounds to me like he had someone tell him it would be bad optics, but I'm sure he still doesn't know what Juneteenth is.

My guess is that he found out that the usual Juneteenth celebration - which had been cancelled because of the pandemic, was being revived in a smaller format. And he was afraid of being outdrawn. I'm sure Trump was warned that a revived counter-programming rally, filled with people carrying anti-Trump signs and possibly Trump Baby balloons and other symbols of the nation's contempt for him might get more coverage than his own rally. That would be something he'd do anything to avoid. It's all about him

Saw on news tonight that yielding the pressure they are rescheduling to a different day. Of course, their PR statement tried to make it look perfectly amicable but we know better.

She's got too many fuckin vowels in her name.

And her last name reads "McEnema"

Fuck that FL Karen
The latest spokesperson to appear on Trmufp's rotating swivel lazy Susan lecturn stage. She looks like a talking manikin to me, a puppet. And her hair's too perfect, super perfect. She looks super super groomed. She really annoys me.

Ok, this is a real hoot.

Trump says a few days ago that COVID-19 is "embers, ashes" (oh look mom, I made a met-a-phor!)

Then he has the attendees of his rallies, including this now rescheduled one, sign a liability waiver, which says:

"By attending the Rally, you and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and agree not to hold Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.; BOK Center; ASM Global; or any of their affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, or volunteers liable for any illness or injury," the disclaimer reads.

How about that, a liability waiver for exposure to a disease which doesn't even exist anymore.

You're right. I had to google it to believe he said it, but he did. Whether he actually believes it or just believes he can sell it, he's delusional either way. How my fellow Americans became so gullible, so delusional that we put this crazy motherfucker in charge is beyond my comprehension.

Of course he doesn't believe it. He is back in the same mode he was in February, where he's pretending there is no public health crisis. Because he's only concerned about one thing: the economy, and the effect that its condition will have on his re-election chances.

He thinks if he 1) doesn't wear a mask in public, 2) holds rallies where no one wears masks, and 3) says that the disease has been licked, that people will be re-assured and will go on buying stuff. That's what all the not wearing a mask shit is about, perception. If the POTUS isn't wearing a mask, everything must be OK and we can go back to the mall, right?

But he knows if his crowds don't take precautions, their risk of contracting the actual disease which he knows is still around is heightened. Hence the need for liability waivers.

Yeah, about that. Trump is giving them the poison they crave. They didn't become "gullible" or "delusional" all of a sudden.

And given the chance, these people will burn it all down over spite. It won't become real until it hits them in their home.

"I went to a trump rally, and all I got was this deadly cough."

Yeah...If he really believes it's a DEMOCRAT HOAX! he wouldn't require waivers at his upcoming rally. Going to a large gathering in a pandemic without a mask seems like it could invalidate any legal claim due to the person's own reckless behavior.

Hey, at least while you take your life into your hands, you get to watch an orange man trembling, slouching, gibbering and gingerly walking like a heavily medicated heart attack victim while playing an invisible concertina for two hours before possibly meeting their maker.

They believe in a lot of things that aren't true, multiple layers of truthiness, the result of corrosive right wing propaganda & disinformation going back to Gingrich & beyond. They believe they're fighting some sort of culture war when they're just they're just cannon fodder in relentless top down class warfare. They're more sinned against than sinners. For Trump & the GOP, they're just chumps, rubes, marks, pigeons. The sharpies always prey on the pigeons.

OTOH, this ain't no Benghazi, no buttery males, no caravans of Mexican rapists, no Iranian terrarist threats, none of that. It's a relentless force of nature, a deadly viral pandemic capable of exponential spread. Which is what happens next. Gonna let 'er rip. No do-overs, either.

Not for long, I figure. The virus is entirely too contagious & too deadly for the Grand Re-Opening! to work as advertised. Check out the graph at the bottom-

The number of new cases tripled in 2 weeks & Ducey says everybody needs to learn to live with it. Left unchecked, the number of new cases will reach catastrophic proportions over the next few months. It doesn't help that Trump has made not wearing a mask into a display of political fealty. Going to the grocery will be like walking into a cloud of delayed action poison gas.

That seems awfully unlikely. 25% of the state's population?

LOL

I think I can explain.

I'm too busy cracking up at the moment sending my sister the tweet.

Let's just say when you announce that you have a website to RSVP seats, you may get a bunch people who RSVP tickets with a certain "intent".
The intent is to make sure he shows up to an empty arena.
