Any other ex Fed employee who had those documents would have been in jail for weeks already. This preferential treatment for traitors is really pissing me off. Hurry up and indict this motherfucker DoJ, time grows short.

I wonder if people like Flynn and Stone and Bannon that were part of that secret WH meeting in December, to plan the January 6 coup, were given piles of documents to walk out of the WH that night just to keep secure in case their coup didn't work.

Imagine how many traitors involved in this theft are already well out of the country.

I imagine a DC jury would probably ask to convict him at the start and skip the trial.

I start to wonder if the identities of defendants need to be masked / hidden from the Jury. For America to maintain its justice system.
Trumpers would never convict him, not of anything.

As I said, the worst intelligence disaster ever in our history. The number of judicious changes needed everywhere will take a long time to complete, at significant cost. In the interim our forces and allies will be at higher risk. Could likely be a factor in our next few conflicts, Russia will use any useful American intel as capitol to be spent with China. For a country headed to Chinese sidekickism economically, militarily and scientifically, whatever Trump gave Russia might be priceless. Our clandestine efforts have been hit hard lately, I wonder why Sry for paywall.

Given both Trump's complete lack of shame and subservience to Putin and the level of security there, I tend to believe the docs were compromised.

Trump should be in prison for the rest of his miserable life. It's a pity we did away with tar and feathers, he certainly deserves it.
There is absolutely no reason to believe the documents were not compromised. Most likely intentionally, but definitely unintentionally through extreme incompetence.

Politicians in this country get way too much preferential treatment, and for whatever God forsaken reason American society has a big pet peeve against making things political when literally everything is political these days. I don't know why we let politicians hide behind that poor excuse because the nature of the job necessitates everything they do as being political. There's been countless times GOP politicians claim their actions and its consequences doesn't apply to them because doing so would make it "political". Well, I'm fucking sorry but that's the responsibility of the job.

If this turns out to be true, do you think that would cause any of his cult followers to rethink their support or anything they’ve supported because of him? Or will it be more of the same, lame excuses, conspiracy theories, and victimhood?

Some would smarten up, *SOME* but most would blame Democrats and say it's all lies. And then bring up Hunters laptop. They're a simple-minded bunch who are very predictable. But I believe when enough evidence comes out here, some will actually see the light and turn anti trump. HIs loyal ones are to the death loyal though

For years I said Trump will be indicted and everyone said ‘lol he will get away with everything’.

Looking forward to this.
I want to believe you are right, but he is constantly getting special treatment and handled with kid gloves. We now have judges using the Trump's go to claim that there might be documents subject to executive privilege (something Trump or any special master has no authority to determine).. as if the FBI and DOJ isn't trained in such manners. Even if there is, Trump has zero standing to file a suit or claim anything on the grounds of executive privilege, that would fall under the current administration to make such judgement, not Trump the Civilian. Anyhow, the Judge is planning or has preliminary intent, to give him the Special Master he is requesting after giving him the opportunity to rewrite his reasoning.. aka, he didn't have an acceptable reason to have a special master, so they gave him a chance to rewrite it for full credit like he is still in grade school....

The two-page order from U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon signals that she’s inclined to grant a request from Trump’s lawyers, who this week asked for the appointment of an independent special master to oversee the review the records taken from Mar-a-Lago and identify any that may be protected by executive privilege, and to ensure the return of any documents outside the scope of the search warrant.

A on topic, but off topic question: What is it with judges announcing intent of judgements (basically making a predetermined ruling) before the case even makes it to the court room and arguments, evidence presented by both sides? It almost makes it appear the actual hearing is just for show or rather, it is just for show.
