Is there a reason why a service hall can’t be used as a secret tunnel?
I guess not. But the problem with a secret tunnel that everyone uses is that it's not all that secret anymore.
They're a real pain to hide from the guys that build them as well, wearing a blindfold while building forms leads to a lot of squished fingers.
You can't brag to your friends that you have a secret tunnel, even if it's perfect tunnel, the best tunnel, the secret tunnel that every other secret tunnel want's to be.

It's probably a 'secret tunnel' instead of a 'service tunnel' because everyone involved wants it to be. People who don't like Trump think a secret tunnel sounds more nefarious and Trump probably likes it because it makes his place sound fancy.

Yup.
Trump's closet will soon be a "hanging room" leaving the public aghast at the implications.

Think Trump had one of these at MAL?

I don’t think the article states the tunnel was actively being used by anyone other than Giuliani and his family, right?

If nobody else was using it, would it still be called a service tunnel?

Regardless of semantics, the purpose of this tunnel for Giuliani certainly seems like secrecy. Maybe just secrecy from the press, but secrecy nonetheless.

The tunnel may have been intended and constructed as a service tunnel when it was built. If people/parties only used it to avoid sightings of them coming and going from the compound, and no 'service people' like caterers, vendors, suppliers, etc ever used the tunnel, then it isn't really a service tunnel, no matter the original intention.

Just because it may have been identified on blueprints for one purpose, doesn't make that the eternally locked-in usage scenario.

People knowing about it doesn't auto-disqualify the adjective "secret."

JFC…

So no one ever mentions the secret tunnel during the orange menaces four year term??? I thought they referred to Mar-a-Lardo as the White House south?

So an interesting point was brought up on MSNBC about how one has to wonder where else might Trump be hiding a stash of top secret gov't documents besides Mar a Lago.

The guy straight up lied that he gave back all documents when asked only to have his home raided because the FBI was tipped that there was more highly sensitive gov't owned documents to be had. So it just makes sense he's got more documents hidden in other places. The guy did have four years to do it.

With all of his nefarious and malicious deeds known and being revealed day after day, you'd have to wonder why and what it is that a mentally deranged emotionally crippled narcissistic criminal is somehow the very best that the Repubs have to offer up as their guy that should be the most powerful man leading the most powerful nation in the world.

I mean that guy and his supporters are bringing new meaning to the term insanity on a daily basis.

Notice the crickets coming out of Republican leadership. You have a few of his cultist Reps. saying some really stupid things that shows they know nothing about handling classified data, but the (hate to use this word) responsible ones know this is really bad.
Edit: Also, the defund the FBI noise has faded very quickly. Of course Fox helped out by shifting their ire towards the 87,000 death squad IRS agents that are going to be unleased.

Maybe it's a "secret tunnel" because the people using it escaped the notice of the media + others watching the front doors. Their visits were... secret.
It is interesting to note that Giuliani 's been up in Trump's back door since at least 2008.
Wouldn't such a secret tunnel have to begin at a secret location? If Rudi walks in the front door at Mar-a-Lago then uses a secret tunnel to visit Trump, does it really matter if there was a tunnel or not? You think they announced that he was there for the lunch special to trick us into thinking he wasn't going to talk to Trump, then used the secret tunnel?

I wonder if the FBI knew about the secret tunnel before the raid? It would suck if they missed it just because they hadn't read the book.
