Was it reported yesterday that Comey requested more funds of the DoJ? Was it, or wasn't it? And if it was, was it true and accurate? (The answer is of course no. It was false.)

Has it been reported that Rosenstein (sp?) threatened to quit? Has he denied it? Was the media article/claim straight up false?

Was CNN's headline about Rosenstein denying any morale problems in the FBI? Did Rosenstein acknowledge dissatisfaction in FBI in his testimony? (yes). Did CNN omit that quote? If so, why? It certainly is relevant to the headline CC went with.

(Just noticed CNN edited/changed their title on the article. Literally about 5 min ago.)

Not only CNN...the horseshit lies were everywhere in MSM. It's absolutely amazing how one or two unnamed sources can create such a highly biased chain reaction echo in the media. We aren't in Kansas anymore.

He straight up said 'No, that is not accurate' when asked about it. The idea that all 35,000 employees in the FBI would be happy about anyone in charge is absurd and you know it.
Not sure what you're referring to above. Pls clarify.

The explicit statement McCabe made when asked if the Trump administration's statement that Comey had lost the support of the rank and file was true.

He was unequivocal: it was false. He said "No sir, that is not accurate".

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/11/...column-region&region=top-news&WT.nav=top-news

“Director Comey enjoyed broad support within the F.B.I. and still does to this day,” Mr. McCabe said at the hearing.

“The vast majority of F.B.I. employees enjoyed a deep and positive connection to Director Comey,” he added.

Saying later that some subset of employees might have been angry in no way changes this crystal clear repudiation of the administration's position. What Fox was trying to do with that was muddy the waters, which was a pretty transparent ploy. This is why you need to steer clear of ideological organizations like Fox News. I know it feels good to have someone tell you what you want to hear but it distorts your perception of reality.

Again, think of how important this is. The White House is lying about why they fired the guy in charge of investigating their possible contacts to the intelligence services of a hostile foreign power. If that's not setting off alarm bells left and right you've totally lost your mind.

Doc & Fern this isn't a trap lets ignore all the Russia & Flynn talk. Can you guys honestly say if Hillary was in office and charging 200k a head club memberships you wouldn't blink an eye or question it as selling access to the President? Keep in mind since Trump was elected the cost of his inner club membership has gone from either slightly over or slightly under 100k to today's 200k (approximate)
It's alright to like Trump & what he's for in regards to my question. I'm just wondering what you would think if it was Hillary collecting the membership fees. Let's not divert and stay on this topic any opinion is yours

You gonna answer this @Doc Savage Fan ?

Funny, today I'm seeing the story being refuted via other sources, all over that same media. Its almost as if the media is reporting on things when they get new information and updating their stories as new information comes in. Crazy how that works.

Apparently the fast pace of the 24 hours news cycle is too much for you to handle.

Loving the bro-down of DSF and Fern.

This could definitely go slash-fic.

Only thing missing is the meme pic of the Sixth Sense kid saying "I see Libtards... EVERYWHERE."

The media definitely doesn't get everything right. Particularly the cable news channels, since they're always worried about being out-scooped and losing viewers.

It is remarkable, however, that the biggest critics of the "MSM" are people who continue to swallow all of the bullshit that this administration is shoveling. Without a doubt, the Trump administration is the most frequently dishonest that has existed in my lifetime. And they've still got three years and nine months to go. You literally cannot trust anything they say.

It's the MSM that's the problem, though!

I am not bad.

The people telling you I am bad. Are bad.
All of those people and organizations are lying.
Only the people who are telling you that I am good are telling the truth.

I haven't done this before but with this thread I am actively skipping Chiro and DSF's posts now.

It boggles the mind how they are so capable of twisting things when at the very core of Trump and his crew-of-no-gooders are filth. They barely even hide it because they rely so heavily on their supporters to not only be ignorant enough to continue to support them come-what-may but also to figure out the most creative ways to excuse their heinous behaviors and beliefs coupled with their own absurd excuses of course.

It's good to have a standard for signal:noise.

If a poster regularly falls beneath your standards, then it is best to ignore them. They are not challenging you in a meaningful way.

Opposition is invaluable. Ignorance is forgivable. Trolling is just tedious.

I read 'em anyway, just to see what the Alt News is feeding to the gullible. Saves me the trouble of going to Breitbart, Infowars, Newsmax, World Nut Daily & the like.

Oh I won't continue. It just struck me I was in need of a break, because of the mind boggling and all. It's like their lack of common sense pings around in my head almost painfully.

https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/05/11/us/politics/trump-comey-firing.html

WASHINGTON — Only seven days after Donald J. Trump was sworn in as president, James B. Comey has told associates, the F.B.I. director was summoned to the White House for a one-on-one dinner with the new commander in chief.

The conversation that night in January, Mr. Comey now believes, was a harbinger of his downfall this week as head of the F.B.I., according to two people who have heard his account of the dinner.

As they ate, the president and Mr. Comey made small talk about the election and the crowd sizes at Mr. Trump’s rallies. The president then turned the conversation to whether Mr. Comey would pledge his loyalty to him.

Mr. Comey declined to make that pledge. Instead, Mr. Comey has recounted to others, he told Mr. Trump that he would always be honest with him, but that he was not “reliable” in the conventional political sense.

Jesus. Fucking. Christ.

The president doesn't demand the loyalty of the FBI director.

I do not know if this has been posted here but Tяrump now says he would have fired Comey regardless of the recommendation from the acting Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/trump-says-fbi-director-comey-told-him-three-times-he-wasnt-under-investigation-once-in-a-phone-call-initiated-by-the-president/2017/05/11/2b384c9a-3669-11e7-b4ee-434b6d506b37_story.html?hpid=hp_hp-top-table-main_trumpcomey-120pm:homepage/story

He is getting more forgetful, more paranoid, more vindictive, his tongue becoming bitter and bitter. And many signs point to his advisers unable to correct him (let alone predict him) even though they have vested interest in him being a successful president.

I am afraid this might be an early symptom of dementia. I have no joy sharing my thought in this (had to think twice before posting) but a different inference is difficult to draw at this point.
