Because the two situations are not remotely similar in scope or intent.

Look at this logically instead of emotionally and this will all make sense.

Trump was trying to stop human/sex trafficking. He's made his opinion clear on whom he thinks a large percentage of those that come her illegal are, this has been known since before he won the election. And AGAIN, crossing the border illegally is a CRIME. People can and do get incarcerated for committing crimes, and when this happens if you have kids, you are taken away from them and they will be placed in government provided housing if necessary. You can spin this however you want, but there was nothing out of the ordinary happening. LIberals decided logical normal procedure had to give away to partisan emotion driven anti-Trump fear mongering FUD. That's all that happened here.

The thing I do agree with Trump with is how he wants to bring back more jobs and is more "America first". Every leader of a country should put their country first. Obviously lot of the stuff he did is bad for us, like the steel tarrifs but I can see why he did it. We should do the same with oil products and build our own refineries. We need to encourage people to buy and manufacture locally.

This is why Republicans win. Messaging to the Braindead. Ask yourself, did you think Obama didn't put our country first and didn't want to bring back more jobs? You also say a lot of stuff he did for us is bad for us but I can see why he did it. If you proclaim you want to put American first but by the ineptitude of your policies, you do things that are "bad for us" and in reality aren't helping America are you in fact putting America first? I know it's more difficult to think about than "America first".

Obama did a decent job considering the mess he inherited from GWB. But, it wasn't a good look for him when he said 2% is the new norm and said jobs are gone, how will they come back when Trump was running, and then Trump very publicly helped bring jobs back / keep them here.

What jobs did Trump bring back and what jobs did Obama said were gone? Coal jobs are dying.. even with the Trump intervention they aren't coming back. In fact Trump has leveraged out future in renewable energy to pander to the small coal base.

I have never understood this view. For almost the entirety of human history the average person lived in destitution because human efficiency made almost no gains. The industrial revolution lifted billions out of poverty through discovering more efficient ways to make the things people need. Now, we want to go back and make things less efficiently just so we can make them ourselves.

In some ways I wonder if humanity isn’t regressing.
I get frustrated with the same point. People just don't care, though. I had a conversation with an engineer friend of mine (educated guy), and he earnestly believes it's better to less efficiently make things here even if it's more costly in the end because "America first." It's so regressive and myopic.

Illegal presence is a civil offense, not a crime. Otherwise, illegals could be pardoned for being here.

He was not trying to stop human trafficking. That was already debunked in this thread. It was a lie. It is most certainly out of the ordinary.

Like I said, you need to look at this factually, not emotionally. You’re so desperate to cheer for your team that you’re not able to do that.

Well, Trump said he would bring back jobs so he must have, right? He's magical.

Did you read any of those, or just the headlines?

Edit: emp beat me to it lol

The Bloomberg one made me chuckle a bit.

Your first link is great, showing us several reshoring deals that occurred prior to Trump's election. And I thought Obama was the master of the Kenyan voodoo time warp...

Jobs coming back kills you, doesn't it?

I'm all for jobs coming back. In fact I've missed your posts raging about Verizon outsourcing thousands of jobs to InfoSys.

What's really funny is your ignorance about when these started coming back and that like many of the "Conservative" posters here you use of articles as "evidence" without even bothering to read them.

They are also big fans of using opinion pieces.

The headlines are great though, so not fake news

Weren't Republicans supposed to be tired of winning? Must not be that tired if they are grasping to 50% approval on Rasmussen as winning.

His best days are comparable to other presidents' worst days.

At this point GWBush was at 63% approval. So, it really matters anyway. Trump is in the same range as most other presidents were at this point in his presidency. Trump has over 1/3 of African American support now. If the economy keeps on chugging the way it has been, he has 2020 wrapped up.

You’re trying so, so hard to comfort yourself.

Why is your ego so fragile about this? Trump has been and is an unpopular president. It’s okay to like someone who is unpopular.

Yes, he is in the same range if by range you mean 0-100%
