OMG dont tell my your a trumpster 🙁

And really you don't know hillary would of been a disaster. What's the reason for the opinion? Everything the republicans threw at her didn't stick.

But, but...Benghazi! Uhh...emails! Hmm...give SlowSpider a bit to come up with more, I'm sure he can with his level of delusion...

By putting babies in cages

They did not put children in cages. They did separate parents from kids, but that is what happens when one does something illegal and the adults to to jail. This is common practice when one is incarcerated for crimes, or in jail waiting for trial. Your kids don't come with you to jail.

Bullshit. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, illegal about seeking asylum. That's what is different here. They are charging asylum seekers with criminal offenses which is causing the separation. This is their choice to do this.

Those that came in through the ports of entry were treated as asylum seekers. Those that crossed the border illegally were treated as illegal immigrants. Also why anyone thinks this is going to be a problem for Trump's reelection is beyond me.

For God's sake. She would have kept moving in the Obama direction, right in the toilet. You also know everyone investigating, said loosely, was in the dems pockets..

Seeking asylum is legal

Phew, that was close. I almost responded to one of Slow's inane false equivalency posts. Stop feeding this troll, folks.

If someone does something illegal and goes to jail, are they or are they not separated from their kids? When you commit a crime, this is what happens. And crossing our border illegally is a crime.

Mentally ill? You think it is okay to abort babies, but not put ILLEGALS in jail.
How is it our fault a criminal drags his kids along? Let me rob a bank and have kids as accomplices. i will be in prison, they will be in juvenile then foster homes. Sounds like you have the mental issue.

Seeking asylum is legal
What Is Asylum?
Asylum is a protection granted to foreign nationals already in the United States or at the border who meet the international law definition of a “refugee.” The United Nations 1951 Convention and 1967 Protocol define a refugee as a person who is unable or unwilling to return to his or her home country, and cannot obtain protection in that country, due to past persecution or a well-founded fear of being persecuted in the future “on account of race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion.” Congress incorporated this definition into U.S. immigration law in the Refugee Act of 1980.

not everyone can use this as truth or a lie to get in. most are just simply braking the law.

There is a stark difference between a citizen and the resources available for the care of the child, and a non citizen. If you don't see that, you're either ignorant or intellectually dishonest. I haven't ruled out the combination. I'm breaking my own rule responding to you, so I won't bother again.

We detain non-citizens when they do something illegal. What you said amounts to nothing of value. Go to Canada illegally, get thrown in jail, see if they keep your kids with you while you're in jail.

I want to thank all the conservatives in this thread for showing just how diseased your movement has become where you are arguing that not only is the mass incarceration of small children okay, it is necessary because of your preferred border policy.

You guys are ugly, sad people and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

They are not incarcerating children. They are caring for children while their here-illegally parents are processed.

Love your emotional spin job, though.

Haha, nice try at creating a politically correct way to talk about jailing small kids.

I don’t know why you guys bother with these transparent lies. You just make your other less transparent lies less believable.

You still havent told us why you believe a single polster that skews right consistantly is somehow more reliable than a meta-study of pollsters.

Nothing changes the fact that Donald Trump is the single most unpopular President of the last 40 years.

Well... racists love him. And Russian Presidents.

You're all spin today.

The obvious counter to this is that being held in a cage with 20 other children and few comforts besides foil blankets is also very uncomfortable. But this is abuse of the language, too. Refusal to call a cage a cage merely because it makes someone uneasy—or, perhaps more importantly, because it is politically toxic—does not transform a cage into a “chain-link partition.” The point is that these children are incarcerated.

“Maybe it is a concentration camp; I don’t want to make it look nice.” Joe Arpaio stands by his 2008 description of his infamous “tent city” jail. The former Arizona sheriff cultivates an image of toughness on immigration. In 2016, Donald Trump welcomed Arpaio’s support, saying, “When Sheriff Arpaio gives you an endorsement, you know you’re the king of the border.” Rewarding Arpaio with a presidential pardon in 2017 after the sheriff defied a judge’s order to stop immigration arrests, Trump sent a clear message that the handcuffs were off Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

Just like the "Liberal Media" creating all the "fake news!" and the democrats being responsible for any and all inaction of the Senate. /rollseyes
