I think you misunderstand, I never argued that your point was wrong, just that your point was dumb. You could make the same argument that both sides do it about literally every politician that has ever lived which makes it a pointless truism.

I was rarely discriminated against growing up and I think I've taken more racist, elitist, I-know-what's-best-for-you BS from HRC supporters in the past six months than in my entire lifetime. I didn't get the same vitriol spewed at me by Republicans when I used to vote Democrat. No, bragging about how many black supporters you have is something that politicians running for office do. And even if you weren't seeking election bragging about black friends doesn't invariably mean you're racist, it probably just means you're being egotistical. Racism, boasting, and the racial makeup of your friends are 3 entirely separate things and the Venn Diagram overlap between them might be anywhere from almost complete to almost non-existent.
