Such propaganda is, generally speaking, watering the seed that was sown.
Engaging the Ego towards a destination it was already primed for. Something they already identified with.

In this case, are illegal immigrants a problem, yes or no?
Those who say yes will eat this up. It will motivate them to act on this information. Where as, previously, maybe they had other priorities in mind when they cast their vote. In this way, it can stir up more votes for Trump.

Less changing minds, and more about voter turnout?
Those who are undecided are probably not sure what they are voting for. Until they see this. Until they feel it.

While Biden is out on the trail campaining on Pubs renegging on this deal remind people red states are loosening child labor laws giving more incentive for people outside the country to illegally enter. Especially kids.

Nothing like 12 years olds working in the slaughter houses during school hours.

This feels something like being on a spaceship and super heating excess gasses to eject into space to cool everything down ... Faster everything heats up, faster you have to eject thermal mass.

I wonder if they'll ever run out of air.

The irony here is that this whole escapade might not change a single republican's mind, but it might actually energize Dem voters.

I know I was sort of *Meh* with regard to Biden/Dems and the border (we need to have effective enforcement with fair and expedient resolution for people with a legit claim, currently we don't really have either) and as it stands I essentially saw that Biden was willing to get tough on the border and Republicans completely fucked it all up.

So where I was down on Biden I am actually up and I can unpinch one nostril when voting for him in November (unfuck or at least make a good faith effort to unfuck the Gaza situation and I can breathe easy in my vote).

While I doubt perceptions are going to totally reverse or something but if some swing voters start to perceive the Republicans as full of shit on immigration/border I'm inclined to say that's not going to be good for them. This whole play may be just a little too brazen.

Dems say yes and they reject it because of Trump.

Dems pull foreign aid out and Republicans refuse to pass it because "we need to fix the border". The same border bill they just rejected.

We need to vote every Republican out of office as possible in 2024. They have ZERO interest in governing. They just want to be subservient to Trump.

I’ve consistently highlighted the facts, pointed out the propaganda, and shown who has actually been for and willing to actually do something about border security.


So either Republican voters simply parrot what their party tells them or they actually don’t care about border security. Which is it guys?

Sadly only those on the left voting in full force isn’t enough to get it done. We need the pcgeeks and greenmans of this country to finally wake up and see just how bad their party is. That means they actually have to vote against their party and not just sit on the sidelines. If they decide not to vote all they are doing is giving the extremists (the magas and the ultra right wingers) a louder voice.

Based on this thread though, I don’t have hope of those types of republicans coming to their senses and doing the right thing. If they can’t even muscle out a post condemning such anti democratic behavior and an unwillingness to address their number 1 issue, then I can’t imagine them actually taking the time to vote and to vote for the party that was actually willing to address their issues/concerns.

Guys you don’t get it, they have gone extremely hardcore because it works for them. They simply will say when asked that no Democrats can be involved because it will make whatever proposal ineffective.
They way to combat this is simple. Get rid of the filibuster and start passing legislation. Give sweet deals to some of the less deplorable Republicans to get the votes needed.
The game has changed and it’s time to learn that.
