Mockery in any form, or for any purpose or directed at anyone, especially those least able to defend themselves, is neither funny nor acceptable.
Holy cow.

That reminds me, I need to check the timing on my Beetle, I think it might be a little retarded.

Also, I surprisingly like The Ringer. My brother is mentally disabled so I can be very defensive of joking, but I didn't find it offensive at all.

believe it or not the special olympics committee actually got a chance to preview the movie before release and actually said they loved it. they understood the direction and concept of the humor but more importantly the way it portrayed people with disabilities and how they are still very capable of competing and participating in various athletic events. usually they get up in arms over media that portrays people with disabilties in any kind of light, but for some reason they actually supported and sang the praises of 'the ringer'. go figure.

The way I see it, if no one was offended, it wouldn't be that funny.

That's always been my belief. If you're going to make me laugh, you're going to have to make someone else walk out of the theater. We're not overlapping demographics.

It was actually not too bad. I think there were some scenes that just got kind of weird... especially involving Tom Cruise's character (which I had no idea was him until the credits >_> ). RDJ has the best fucking lines near the end.. hands fucking down.

I dunno, why don't you tell us?

You "differently abled" people sure are quick with the comebacks! Gold star for you!

0/10 for replying with identical insult... maybe I had you pegged right

I had my doubts but it was definitely worth the money.

Downey was really convincing as a the aussie and the aussie playing a black guy. Fvkign impressive.

Horrible piece of crap, exactly as i expected.

I didn't want to see it; neither did the other guy in our group of 4, but it was basically a Star Wars animated crap vs. Tropic Thunder situation...

Tom Cruise was the only good part of this movie, lol, that's the kinda crap this movie is.

How is that ever possible?

I'll wait for BRD on this one. It looks funny, but in a possibly-retarded sort of way.

I don't know, but he's the best part of this movie; no joke.

Granted, the crap level of this movie is so high that might be why 😉

I beg to differ. He was probably the BEST part of the movie (save for the stupid dancing), but Downey as an Australian playing a black guy, and Stiller as Zooland.....err, an actor, were hilarious.

I thought it was hilarious. The R rating should be no one under 17 though. The movie does take vulgarity to the very extreme. But it was funny and Downey was good, but I thought Jack Black stole the show. 🙂

The wife and I saw it yesterday and were laughing our asses off.

We both thought it was better than we expected it to be.

This was a good movie for a comedy.
We opened up a can of Booty Sweat and laughed our asses off.
Downey Jr. was great.

I'm a lead farmer, motherphuker!

Watched it over his weekend and enjoyed it. Theater was laughing and I didn't see a single person get up and leave, unlike a few more recent stiller fails. His movies are either hit or miss as he's not even a good actor in my opinion. Plays the same character every movie with the exact same face, voice, inflection, bah. He doesn't ever act, but in this movie that works because that was somewhat the point. He's making fun of the fact he's a crappy actor!

I must say those opening "fake" trailers they started the movie with, wow. That first one, about booty sweat had the theater completely going WTF?!!?

I'm slightly confused as to why THIS isn't catching more attention than this idiotic "retard" bullshit.

?Tropic Thunder? is likely to be the last movie released by DreamWorks before its top executives ? Steven Spielberg, David Geffen and Ms. Snider ? formally announce their plans to become aligned with a new company to be financed by Reliance Big Entertainment of India.

Why don't all the coalitions also stand up to defend American businesses being owned by.. you know, Americans? Some people sure seem to have some fucked up priorities.
