How many soldiers do you know that spend most of their time posting on tech forums?
Nebor could easily dismiss any doubt by posting some proof, I don't know any soldiers either who need to remain anonymous
Unless of course he is just scared of justice for his death threats against members here and their families
I suggest there are people who just don't want to talk about what they've personally seen or participated in due to either security reasons or that it's just something one lives with, not boasts about.
Regarding Kerry, well this is exactly as I expected. Invoke the "America will save the world because of our inherently superior moral fiber from <insert target group here>. America will not fail in <insert heart stirring patriotic sentiment> no matter the sacrifice".
Then immediately reassure the citizens here that "there won't be boots on the ground".
The next step is say to oneself "shit how do I do that" and take a more or less clueless stab at it. When that doesn't work out according to plan call for flexibility, meaning a retraction of the promise to not engage in ground activities, something which never should have been made to begin with.
At that point the President has carte blanche to use any authorization as he sees fit.
Something well put by someone who knew-
"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."
