Considering this place is one giant CNN/MSNBC shill factory I'm not surprised its easier to just never come here than to actually try and discuss anything and get accused of being whatever flavor of the month unpolitically correct jerk is popular at the time if you disagree in the slightest.

You think the ACA regulations could have bad implications for healthcare? What are you some kind of jerk who wants americans to go uninsured. Yawn... it gets old.

Not to mention all the race baiting. Race relations were better before the media started trolling.

There is more rational discourse in comments of CNN's own articles. This place shills worse for CNN and the like than CNN's own comments. True story.

How will student loans impact the first-time buyers' ability to purchase?

Nailed it!

Good laughs. This place is more like this buzz killington.

Rising employment means more marriages; more household formation means more home buying--if not in 2015, then in 2016.

What the hell is he even talking about household formations rates are horrible... lol... is this someone who posts here?

You can reply to comments here, OverVolt, as I know you know.

That's what makes the forum better than CNN/MSNBC.

The forum can be mighty liberal, which can be scratch your head puzzling for computer guys, but at least we can reply, and ask questions - versus CNN/MSNBC, etc.

That's almost a metaphor for capitalism versus socialism.

In socialism, like CNN or MSNBC, they tell you what to think.

In capitalism, like Anand Tech P&N, you tell them your thoughts.

Wherever the CBD manifests itself, there will be the experience of ugliness and disgust. This must happen because the altered reality the CBD requires to protect its ego will rub up against the reality that actually exists. Facts have a liberal bias. Reality can be denied, but it can't actually be changed. In any penetrating analysis, the CBD will be exposed not to itself, but to all not in denial. You can tell a bigot, but you can't tell him much. The CBD is there to deny what makes it tick. It's the vanity of ego. It creates what is referred to as 'whine' because there's just never enough religious faith. There has to be a crusade. As the great AI probe, Nomad, in Star Trek said, "Must Eliminate Error!"

If a Moonbeam writes on an internet forum with no one around to read it, is it still miserable?

HBGary's high-volume astroturfing technology and the Feds who requested it

Persona management entails not just the deconfliction of persona artifacts such as names, email addresses, landing pages, and associated content. It also requires providing the human actors technology that takes the decision process out of the loop when using a specific persona. For this purpose we custom developed either virtual machines or thumb drives for each persona. This allowed the human actor to open a virtual machine or thumb drive with an associated persona and have all the appropriate email accounts, associations, web pages, social media accounts, etc. pre-established and configured with visual cues to remind the actor which persona he/she is using so as not to accidentally cross-contaminate personas during use...

Hacked documents reveal that the Feds have requested quotes to perform astroturfing. Does anyone believe that the political parties are not doing similar astroturfing?

From my perspective, I'd feel a lot more comfortable thinking that many of these partisan posts come from bots rather than from organic units...

I hope and pray for another bubble. When my house hits 600k I'm selling and moving into an apartment to wait out the apocalypse. After the dust settles I'll buy my house back for 200k, and a couple more to flip.

it`s actually a non -- issue!! Issue not found!

Why are you being so defensive? Use of this website is down all-around compared to in the past. I may not agree with OverVolt's reasoning for the usage drop, but it is an issue none-the-less. This is a tech forum first and foremost. It requires the shared knowledge & experiences of a lot of users.

You are complaining over an article, none of us even mentioned or brought up - on how you think we would bring it up.

This must be a new mechanism of the defective conservative brain; sensationalize something that wasn't even done by your enemy, but it's something you are accusing they would/could do. Yeah, this doesn't make you look defective at at.

Nope.

I'm not even conservative, this place is so overwhelmingly dumb liberal that I end up taking their side. I don't agree with the far right either. This place is far left.

I went away from here for many years. When I came back I was shocked at how far left this place had swung. When Russ was here he kept the bullshit down to a tolerable level. He'd just ban your ass for saying stupid left wing shit....and Harvey would bleed, but Russ could also somehow keep the peace. I miss Russ! :)

I dunno about CNN but MSNBC sounds about right. Some of the Statists here sound like Real Estate Schills on MSNBC in 2007. They sound so much like government lapdops they make TYT seem like a far right news group.

LOL, yeah loving what sounds like censorship doesn't make you sound a like a tool or anything....

Whatever happened to Russ, and Harvey for that matter? For the most part I thought Russ was a tool, but not nearly as bad as the last crop of tools. Harvey did bleed all over the place, but I think both at least tried to make a point.

The board leans socially liberal but is otherwise generally conservative. It is more liberal now than it used to be.

This place has been around forever, me and friends used to sell stuff on FS/T back in like 2005. It must have experienced booms and busts before.

Most of the Western world is socially liberal.
I'd agree that otherwise it's (this board) fairly conservative.

That's the thing though, Americans as a whole don't view themselves in terms of being part of the political "western world". We have this weird idea that the only government that that really matters is our own. Generalizing here, hugely, but the reason you will see people here claim that it's so left-leaning and liberal is that there are people here who are socially conservative, and view this whole forum as full of liberals.

Those are the people who will express dismay at the "fact" that these forums are overflowing with Hasbara and CNN financed liberal trolls.

But I agree with you very much. The fact is, white males tend to be conservative. Guess who we have a lot of? This forum isn't exactly diversity central.I actually would hate it if this place became majority liberal. Who would I argue with then?

Who am I kidding, everyone.

Any examples of far left stuff on here? I don't think that I've ever seen any.

Left means something different in the UK, but what I was trying to demonstrate is the comments on CNN's own articles have more center/right posters than P&N!
