There would be no drug war if people such as yourself would stop waging a senseless "war on drugs". You know what makes the war on drugs a catchphrase, unrealistic, and laughable? Real wars end, the war on drugs will never end. The drugs aren't the problem, people are.

Are you now saying that anyone that buys drugs deserves to be tied up and sexually assaulted?

iirc this is the same person that argued china and korea were at fault for being invaded by the japanese and having various atrocities committed on them. there's no reasoning with the guy.

anyway, there's also the possibility that it's simply FUD, damage control.

A week on the beach in Playa Del Carmen might be my favorite vacation of all time. Anything in the Yucatan is safe along with Cabo and Puerto Vallarta.

For the money it's still pretty hard to beat.
 
Nowhere in Mexico is safe now. I spent half my life going on twice-yearly vacations to Mexico, and now it's all too dangerous.
 
On the flipside, I wish I was gangraped for a few hours by some spanish girls. Unless they have STD's or weight problems. I would still enjoy it but not as much.

You are assuming everyone loves beach. That's not fun to me, heck I hate beach.....

It's obviously not safe if we read reports like this.

My point was that a trip to Mexico is one of my favorites and I travel extensively. I've never felt the least bit unsafe anywhere in the Yucatan, PV, or Cabo. Hell, PDC is safer than most cities in the US.

You obviously don't know what happens when all drugs are allowed to be freely distributed.

you talk about how he is assuming everyone loves the beach, after you made a comment about how you don't see how people think it is a great vacation spot, then you tell us you hate the beach. oh so because you hate the beach, you can't see why someone would enjoy the beach?

Could you tell us so we can go there and not get raped? A couple of years ago you said the resort towns were safe. Now, that is not the case...

cancun, playa del carmen, cozumel, all of which are over 1500 miles or so away from this cartel violence.

Most of us have wives or kids. If I was single hell yeah. Hell I'd probably partying with the cartel. No way I'm risking having family gang raped so I can enjoy the beach.

My Father-in-law just did a solo mini road trip to the US (mainly in Oregon) and mentioned to me he was thinking of going to Oakland for a few days. I said you crazy old man? Just stay in Oregon or go to San Francisco instead.
