Actually I'm not failing. What I'm saying is fairly correct. The Texicans (what they called themselves) were in trouble. The US annexed Texas. Texas was having a problem with the Mexicans. Thus leading to the Mexican American war. Once we won, in the treaty, we acquired California and pretty much Arizona and around there. We totally fucked them over. We also took a peg leg as part of the treaty. Also this subject is under US history. Not world.

You're not going back far enough in "New World history" to get my point...The Spaniards came to the new world and raped the local indigenous women folk...introducing the first of the Spanish blood lines to what is now Mexico. (of course, as soldiers remained and intermixed with the local population, they introduced far more Spanish blood into the population.

Pretty horrible and Mexico is now starting to get a reputation as unsafe no matter where you go. It used to just be the border towns. Now it's tourist destinations.

Ah true that did occur. I got the reference originally but we (the US) fucked them over. It could work both way.
 
i haven't been in several years, but last time i was there i was hearing the same things.. but we had no problems at all, stayed mostly in tourist spots in and around cancun however..

These were tourists. They were lucky. The criminals could've sold them rat poison. Instead, they got a Class A contraband. And raped. I have zero sympathy for them.

What, would you have been upset at the rape if, in addition to buying a class A contraband, they also killed some endangered animal? These people knew what they were doing. And they got more than they bargained for. They are adding to the misery of the drug war in Mexico.
